Ahern Celebrity Sportsmen's Day

Ahern Celebrity Sportsmen”s Day Broadview Football Club Sunday 25 November 12.30pm.

Guests include Andrew and Darren JARMAN, Darryl Wintle, James Allan and the Gowans twins compared by Rob Popplestone.

There are some great auction items up for grabs including David Beckham jersey,Australian World Cup signed Cricket shirt,North Adelaide signed items as well as a silent auction.

Cost is $20 entry and happy hour prices all day for drinks also $1 BBQ lunch.

The reason for this function is John Ahern who played under age football at NAFC lost his 16 year old son in a motor accident and we are raising money to help with funeral expenses.

It'll have a Central and a North flavour to it, as I understand it the lad that passed on played U17s for Central.
All welcome though and a great cause, no excuse if you live nearby and have nothing on.

quite a few on this forum live pretty close to Broadies so no real excuse, perhaps thats why the Gowans boys are trotting along perhaps we could put up a boxing ring in the cricket pitch area for some fun between the North and Centrals guys, but seriously, this is a great cause for a young sportsman that tragically lost his life. If you have nothing planned come along, will be a great day

I wonder what he'll say? They look the same, both have Jack Oatey's - it could go on for quite some time.

I'll be there with a former poster "Theo Bromac", but we are wondering whether my old sparring partner MAL can make it.
Should be a good casual arvo and a memo to whoever runs the Barbie- dont scab on the tucker. :D :D
