sorry Breadman.
I didn't realise you were such an expert on a league youve never played in.

which part of this did neither of you understand?
Hello?

Maybe you should look at your own club and look for ways for the competition to get better instead of trying to drag the better sides/clubs backwards!
I not saying this in a nasty way but why not try to improve the whole competition and make it stronger.
Doesnt always take money to get people/players to a club.

What has that got to do with knowing anything bout the league
instead of worrying bout other clubs and what they do work out ways of making your own club stronger
i said i didnt say it in a nasty way at all

But look at it as though your improving the quality of the league!

Cant see where you are coming from TTH

I mean:

There are clubs battling to stay alive in the comp.
Clubs in the Mallee whos towns are dying, who arent blessed with the population of cobby and it's surrounding areas, and who havent got the means to source players, like cobby does.

They are doing well just to field a team each year, and youre crapping on about 'trying to improve their standard' blah blah. These other clubs can have 2 or 3 people keeping it from folding each year. They are doing their best.

Im sayin, mate, dont talk about something you clearly know nothing about.

Do you realise the population of Cobby?
approx 250

Not saying anything bout other country leagues
but you got to look at why clubs are not attracting players
and as i said its not always to do with money!

TTH- I know what i am talking about: A few tips for u Dont wash your colours with your whites know really
Set up a positive playing environment helps, and the main thing focus on what u control, your own club would be a good start and try to come up to the top sides level because take it from me Cobdogla are not going to come down to your level. Setting up the environment will take (my opinion) the paying of players out of the equation.

i understand what TTH is saying here, cobby may only have a small population but it draws players from a large population base, ie it can draw from Barmera, Berri (including their satelite towns) and it can draw from the towns west also. The Mallee clubs who are struggling generally can only draw from one direction, thats towards the other clubs as not many people want to travel past their home ground for another 45+ minutes of driving for (lets face it) a low standard competition.
I dont have a problem with players being paid, if its being done just be honest about it is all i ask. you may say its none of my business but if thats what it takes to be competitive in the comp it is my business as im trying to build a succesful team.
all that being said i only have one more thing to say on the matter....

If cobby keeps going the way they are then noone is going to want to play in the independents. Noone wants to play in a competiton where they are going to get flogged every week. Its all well and good to look for recruits but when you have one team that gets 12 ins and stuff all outs every year it makes a lot of the mallee clubs think why bother.

Hey there Riverlandians. I hope Renmark are training hard and drinking harder as you have two shocking perfomances too make up for from last year. We look forward to seeing you all over here and even look more forward to belting your butts in. Hope Brett is as good of coach as he is keeping his hair nice and spikey like a cockatiel. Would rather have the bald smarter Exelby brother in the trenches anyday. May 5 - Ironbank oval - We will supply the kleenex tissues for your bus drive home Sunday. Up you kilts Renmark - Especially you coach undie man.

Burglar...you're right.
Eastern Park pulled out.
I think Renmark is trying to get one of the teams from the Loxton Cup to play against now.
