Bays 10.13
Sturt 9.11

well done bays, bad luck blues, just couldnt hold on but good to know we can match it with the league leaders. some great experience for some of the ressies to play in such a game there.

had our chances in the 3rd qtr and couldnt capitalize. not sure if the wind died down in the last but it was there for the taking sturt. now have the bye to rest up some players and refresh for the next game.

crowd of 11000+, wow, that is fantastic, well done all for getting down there.
Carn the blues!!!!!

Good game of footy.
At 3/4 time you;'d think Sturt would go on and win kicking with a strong breeze and being 10 points up.
Sturt had 3 shots straight in front and missed them all in the last 5 minutes which proved costly.
Crowd was 11827 which is a great turn out.

i still think sturt are the team to beat. lot of changes today.
But welldone to the bays with no bench in the last qtr.
sturt missed two goals in the last qtr that you would exspect they would kick 99 times out of 100. and Big Chambo dropping that mark Thats pressure for ya

Sounds like it was a cracking game. Weren't the Bays up by about 5 goals at 1/4 time, then Sturt came back and kicked 7 to 2 in the 2nd. big crowd, see saw close game, just what SANFL needs.

got to give a round of applause to both teams and their fans. =D> =D> =D>

Great game of footy, surprised at the crowd, would've thought around 8000-9000 but that's great if it busted 11000. Very proud of the fight that Sturt put up, to have a winning hold on the game is a credit to the determination and guts of the players, could've won it but for a couple of missed opportunities and some great goals to the Bays. Well done, go blues.

Once again an SANFL crowd looks set to outdo an AFL game (with North Melbourne playing at Carrara tonight).

Awesome game, very finals like... just a shame that the ump were shocking once more but that nothing new

At 3/4 time i wasn't very confident, after knowing we had lost murph and Ruwoldt, but was a great showing in the end.

And to all the Sturt supporters who said they had 7 players out, AFL listed players dont COUNT so get over it!

Well done bays. Too good in the end. You guys wanted it more than us, more committed to the contest in the last quarter.

I was torn though ......I watched Carlton v Richmond and Sturt v Glenelg on TV today, ripper viewing day for me, except for the result of course 8)

Anyway, I couldn't believe the crowd, that was sensational. Well done to both clubs for the game itself, well done and congratulations to the GFC for the win and BOO to us for that shocking guernsey and socks!

Despite that.... bring on the finals!

Actually Sturt had 6 players out who are not AFL listed-Nelson,Feast,Evans,Wark,Paynter and Gregory as well

as the 3 who were taken to Darwin. So those that stepped up today did a remarkable job-well done to them on

taking it right up to Glenelg, providing us with a great afternoon of local footy and gaining invaluable

experience at league level.

hey baysboy, 6 first team players out, and we go down by 8 points, that was a good bloody effort. glenelg were at full strength and that is all you can do. i am happy to wait until the game with both at full strength and see who the winners are. i would like to say to rowston well done today with not putting up with the same silly crap that mcconnell always does by trying to play up to the umpires which he always does.

well done to both supporters for rocking up today, what a awesome crowd.

Was great to see such a strong crowd especially when there were three other SANFL games on at the same time.

I was a little surprised that Central were downed today, so todays match between Glenelg and Sturt could well be the Grand Final Preview! :?
