Welcome on board Footy Follower !

You are right about D4 being a lesser standard to last year. The top 3 sides last year were miles ahead of everyone else, IMO. Obviously Pooraka have improved, but how do you think they would stack up against last years grand finalists. Mitcham were a very good side last year, but looked to have lost a few guys. We have definately improved, but we are still a work-in-progress with plenty of guys around the 20-21 year old mark. IMO, Haven were probably a better side last year, but unfortunately copped injuries and also had 3 pretty good sides to compete with.

It is a very even competition though, look out for Fitzroy - they will cause a few upsets on the run home, and really shape the 5. I'm glad we have got them out the way.

Keeping a lid on how we are going this year... after all you don't win premierships in June.
IMO even though Para Hills lost last years Grand Final they were still the best side by a long way!
They had a few really nuggetie on-ballers that could play at a much higher standard.

Fitzroy would want to improve just quietly..... I know a bit about the roys as I know a few of the lads down there, and when we played them they had several out. I think they will be a lot more competitive than the first half of the season but still don't think they will have much of an impact on top 5. I think the finals are pretty much already set.

I think you might have your work cut out for you this week Felch, Mitcham were pretty good last week. Good luck though.

Another reason I missed some of the action. Fisty kept getting into the shot, you really know how to stand in the way of a good contest mate
hahaha
just trying to hydrate the lads
after u told me i made an effort to try and stay out of the way!!!
Hey Fisty u were re-hydrating your lads all through the A's hey? Well i think i know who u are now as thats a fair effort after playing in the B's big win over us & il maybe run into u again in the finals if we make it
that was me roaring lion
usually try and neck a few cold ones then give the lads in the A's a drink
u reckon u know which player i was on the weekend then do u????
Mate if u are the player im thinking of i think u earned a couple of frothie one's as u played a pretty good game in the ruck & i also think u went forward & played on me for a very brief stint while Felch was throwing your team around getting his prefered match ups

Hey Fisty/Felch what's Southall doing playing B's out there as surely someone of his skill & talent would be playing A's out the Port after kicking 8 goals & he hasnt played every game but is right up there in the top 3 goal kickers in the B's this year with the bloke u had at full forward last week in the A's seemed to struggle so i think he shouldnt be far of getting a run but til then Russ is a very handy inclusion in your B's!

Tips Rd 11!

Adelaide Luthern v NTH HAVEN by 30pts the Black'n'Whites be too classy!
FITZROY v Cbcoc by 5pts bout time the Roys started winning the close 1's as we've lost 6 games under 2 goals this year!!
PAOC v Unley by 30pts the Reds wont have everything their own way though!
PORTLAND v Mitcham by 6 pts as the Thunder will be to physical for the Eagles & they wont like that!
POORAKA v Pulteney by 60 pts minor hiccup for the Bulls last week!

The Ressie's results il be watching very closely this week!

Hey Footy Follower if your the person im thinking of i think u use to have alot to do with Fitzroy back in the day & were very much apart of that 95 premiership side & have a fair knack of putting together very good side(s) to really have a decent crack at winning flags & u look to be around the mark again this year, good luck!

I would just like to say that North Haven were a completley different side from the round 2 encounter earlier in the year. They were very professional, disciplined and skilled throughout the whole day. The umpires had a minor impact on the game, but not enough to change the result on the day. I wish all the North Haven lads the best of luck for the rest of the season.

i think u might be thinking of the other lad running drinks
he was the ruck man, i was another bloke out on the field during the A's!
just a tad shorter

Roaring Lion, i think you have Fisty confused with someone else. He is about half the size of our ruckman! (who, by the way is only 17 years old)
Poor old Fisty will be out for a few weeks, he twanged the hammy on the weekend.

On Southall, i agree he should be playing A grade and would have been a chance on the weekend but missed with injury. He is only just starting to get himself fit, after a late start to the year and i know is looking forward to playing against some old mates this week.

Has been very handy in our ressies, especially the last few weeks.

Some interesting results on the weekend, Pulteney not getting thrashed was a surprise. Haven thrashing Lutheran another interesting one, probably not so surprising though. We put in our best 4 quarter effort of the year against Mitcham, always tough winning out there (has been for us anyway!).

PAOC getting knocked off in the B grade by Unley was a shock too - Unley have now beaten the top side, and lost to the bottom side !!!
looking at PAOC's team sheet , they had plenty of C graders playing B's though, so i dont think they will be too worried.

Very lucky for us to get the win on Saturday against Pultney. . .
They were actually up by 8 points half way through the last quarter, but we managed to kick 4 of our 8 goals in the last 10 minutes to win. Terrible game of footy, mistakes made everywhere by both sides.
Looking forward to the top of the table clash this week against PAOC with up to 6 of our core A grade players back in the side. I still think PAOC would have to go in as favourites though.

Pity CBC could not kick straight on the weekend, could have made things a bit more interesting for the final placing in the 5.
