VICGIRL, Melena Bale was she ruined in a trial as i know of a couple of trainers that have had their dogs racing careers totally ruined by the lack of care at trials. You ask for a particular point to finish the dog on the lure and as usual they dont stop lure until well after they were asked to which ends up stuffing the dog up. One dog i know was supposed to have a 400m trial and a finish on but he ended up running well over 700m+. The dog has never been the same since.

P.S. I still have had no response from GRSA about my concerns about bringing food into Angle Park apart from it will be forwarded onto the appropriate persons. Is it just coincedence that the day after emailing them my dog gets SWABBED

If kennel staff are allowed to take their own food into the track then they can not legally BAR anyone else from doing so.

I bought my dinner tonight sent it back was totally over cooked now i have never sent food back before in my life but if im paying top dollar stuff them they can get it right.

As for Melena she was having a confidence trial normal handslip catch and drag in the pen, Jim forgot it was an arm trial and wizzed the lure away like a pen trial well Colla chased it and caught it near th 600m boxes not only did she run too far but she had her heart broken by chasing a lure that flew away from her then it was stationary and she ran straight into it flat out. No obvious physical problems but she completley busted a gut and its affected her mentally, but that doesnt even deserve an apology

I have recieved a letter and email from Paul Brown from the AGRC who will also be contacting GRSA in regards to the banning of food.
His concern is that members are not willing to renew their membership with AGRC due to the NO FOOD policy. All i did was advise him that we are not renewing our membership this year and the reasons why, so he will now be taking the matter up with GRSA.

EXACTLY right there BAYMAN.

Once ive sent Awesome Ryles interstate i will hand my license back to GRSA just so they dont get the pleasure of taking it from me first.

I know alot of shit that goes on in this industry and ive done things my way which has worked for me.

NOT ONCE has a needle been used to inject anything into my dogs. I trained my dogs with the same theory my own kids train to be athletes. Give them the best diet and the best of everything and you will always get the very best out of them.

I honesly made the mistake of thinking that having a dog live inside with extreme comfort and the best of what i can offer would be a million times better than having him live in a small locked up kennel and only allowed out to empty and to go to a race track etc.

So yes this is the last straw for me ive finally had a gutful of the hypocrites that say they run this industry with the welfare of the dogs at the forefront of all decisions. "allegedly" WHAT UTTER B/SH*T.

Sorry if i sound angry and upset BUT you seriously have no idea just how gutted i am. To get started in this industry i have invested over $20,000 as well as the numerous amount of hours put into training my dogs.

NEVER AGAIN FOR ME.

I have asked for special dispensation to be allowed to have AWESOME RYLES race this Thursday as he is already nominated but i wont hold my breathe. If allowed it will be the very last dog i ever train. IF not i have already trained my last dog.

I will also be pulling all the sponsorship of races we do as a family. The Ryles-Family Feature race to be held at Gawler from the 12th August will now be the very last time it will be held. We were also to sponsor this years Christmas Cup at Gawler but will no longer be doing that also.

WE ARE NOT ALONE!

Was just listening to 5AA sports show and WELL a member of the public made their feelings in regards to the decision in regards to NO FOOD ALLOWED into Angle Park and just how ridiculous it is. They complained of the standard of food on offer. Also that it has STOPPED FAMILIES from attending Angle Park.

They added that HOW GOOD AAMI stadium was in allowing food and drinks into their grounds and that SUBWAY ROLLS were on offer after the Adelaide v Carlton game for $2.00.

I think their exact comment in regards to the food on offer Monday and Wednesdays was that is was a BIO HAZARD  !

NOW we know GRSA wont or dont listen to us OWNERS/TRAINERS but surely they must start to listen to members of the GENERAL PUBLIC that think its that bad that they contact RADIO STATIONS!!

I dont think GRSA seriously know just how wide spread this problem has become known and as much as i would like to say IVE spread the word i cant actually take credit for this one. Speaking to a few well known sporting personalities on the weekend in regards to life, kids etc etc the topic was brought up about how bad a day/night it is going to Angle Park compared to going to the football, cricket and HEAVENLY FORBID EVEN the SOCCER. Sorry i hate the game but yes even Hindmarsh stadium allows you to bring your own food/drinks in. When thinking and deciding where to take the family then WHY would you go to Angle Park. There is no plausible reason why you WOULD take a family to Angle Park.

OR is that the problem does Angle Park want to attract more of the drunk fools that dropped their pants at the track Thursday night because they PUNT and Drink heavily. Thats right you read correctly there were a group of 10-20 GUYS aged in their twentys that took great delight in dropping their pants during the races while standing along the trackside fence and mooning everyone seated inside. NOW these guys dont get kicked out YET they can stop kids from bringing in healthy food and drink. WHAT A JOKE

A family attending Angle Park most probably isnt the main group of people GRSA are trying to attract. Even though it worked out that with me holding my birthday at the track and bringing family and friends JUST our meals cost us approx $500+ thats not including drinks and our punting which would of taken the cost of our groups night out to a conservative $1500+

With Athletics season about to start in 2-3 weeks at least we know we can take our food/drinks into SANTOS STADIUM even though they do provide their own canteen.

I would of thought GRSA would of been doing as much as possible to ATTRACT FAMILIES and just putting on a bouncy castle and a ride or 2 ONLY during school hlidays is not what attracts families.

I still have a soft spot for the doggies.
Ive had great entertainment over the years and made many a friend there.
I may well eventually start attending again in the future.
However the banning of food is certainly going to adversely effect my decision process.
I by neccessity need to eat properly for health reasons.
I need to eat specified foods which are not provided on course at APK.

The ban is a hinderance and I wonder how many others wont go as well.
Its hard enough to get attendances these days on any racecourse.
Im sure the hierachy will reverse the decision on bringing tucker to the course.
