Funny the amount of positive feedback on the news sites than the negative stuff.
Nearly every respondent went out and tried one.

Massive publicity stunt. And the terrible photo in the Advertiser, i reckon they will be getting a small percentage of sales also, because it makes us, in general, go and buy one, to make sure the burger isn't "that" bad.

Plus, everyone went stir crazy when that movie came out where the bloke ate Maccas everyday, and now no-one cares, back to McDonalds once a week for family treats!

This'll blow over in a fortnight or so.

It was done 20 years ago.... I was working as a burger flipper in the now defunct Hindley St HJs when this fat b@st@rd in an Akubra hat waltzed in and ordered a Whopper, with 4 slices of beef, 10 slices of cheese and extra-extra-everything else. The manager was so impressed, he made the burger himself. The finished product wouldn't fit in a box, it had to be held between two cheeseburger wrappers and handed to the bloke over the counter. It woulda cost him 8 or 9 bucks, and this is in '80s prices.

HJs your the best

You're right on both counts.

People eat those footlong meatball subs thinking they're having a healthy option by eating at subway. There's less fat and calories in a Whopper, which is an embarrassment Subway have kept well hidden.

Even if you do get a 6 inch sub advertised as having 6 grams of fat or less, that's only true if you order it with certain lean meats, wheat bun, no cheese and no dressing.

HJ/Burger King appeals to the Aussie yobbo in me. No hiding your faults, just put it out there for all to see. I really love the 'if people like it, great, if not, bugger off - no skin of my ass!' attitude.

Doesn't include Subway but this will give you the nutritional values for most choices at...

KFC
Red Rooster
Domino's
HJ's
McD's

This is the list for Subway

Its just a big cheeseburger
I got the quad and it was just extra lots of meat
Dunno what all the fuss is about
It tasted good, all junk food does.
The picture in the paper had me believing it was this massive burger and you need 4 hands to handle a stacker.

I wonder how long it will be b4 the perennial cheats cash in with a Mcstack.
After all Mccheats started selling deli rolls after Subfraudway got there market share up

I consumed one yesterday.
I weighed myself after and I was 1 kilo lighter after weighing myself in the morning.
Is this a mysterious diet burger?
I agree with Mal, just an oversized cheeseburger but lacks the flavour of a whopper. Will never buy one again, but the experiment was fun!
