I saw it was on TV this week, reminding me of the horror that is...Christmas With the Kranks. OMG I remember taking a class of year 6s to see this (can't for the life of me remember why) and even they were booing. Dan Aykroyd's lowest ebb and that's saying something.

Dazed and Confused - The most overated piece of crap I have ever seen. It simply made NO sense.
Anything with Adam Sandler or Will Ferrell in it. Piss off you wankers!

For once REB? We agree on a lot of things just not The Clash/Led Zeppelin and footy teams!
By the way I watched Dazed and Confused with my wife and brother in law and they thought the same thing. Someone once said you had to have been leaving school in that era to "get it" well my wife and me left school at the end of 1979(when the film is based) and still didn't "get it".

Make that "with the leaping one and with the pseudonymous one". Dazed and Confused is exactly how the movie left me feeling, along with the sense of having lost 2 hours of my life forever.

You want a bad Christmas movie? Try "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians". So bad it's actually great to watch!

On ABC2 tonight was...

Pufnstuf

Sweet. Mother. Of. God.

I never got in to HR Pufnstuf as a kid, I was never able to understand it.

Now as an adult, even with the benefit of a couple of Lowenbraus and a couple of glasses of red, I still did not understand it.

In fact I am scared that a human mind could dream up that kind of sh!t. I'd heard that the drugs in the sixties were heavy, but never really appreciated this. It is evident that HR Pufnstuf could only have been conceived by someone who'd taken too much of the wrong sort of acid. And if that's what acid does to a brain, then I'm glad I stuck to the beer.

Apparently the McDonaldland characters were lifted entirely from the realm of HR Pufnstuf. I can understand neither why anyone thought this would help in selling more hamburgers, nor why it turned out to be absolutely, unquestioningly successful. I can surmise only that McDonalds hamburgers must be full of the same sort of smack which the Kroffts were smoking when they dreamed up HR Pufnstuff.

Amidst the surrealism was a tiny patch of irony: Mama Cass cast as one of Witchiepoo's cronies; in her first scene she is pictured on the telephone while reclining in a bathtub full of food. Mostly fruit. I looked for a ham sandwich, but could not see one.

And to think that ABC2 canned replays of the VFL, WAFL and SANFL - but is happy to defile our HF bandwidth with this kind of garbage. Somebody at the ABC is responsible for this. As a taxpayer I demand to see his head on a platter.

Not only one of the worst movies, but one of the worst kids franchises ever made. Avoid, avoid, avoid. I am dreading going to sleep tonight, for I know that my dreams will be replete with talking alarm clocks, a giant lizard with a southern accent, a hyperintelligent owl, and a couple of mute firemen wearing contrasting pastille coloured uniforms.

Bad. Bad, bad bad bad bad bad baaaaaaaad. BAD.

Watched V for Vendetta for the first time on tv last night...it got a 3* rating in the tv listings so thought it was going to be ok.

What a load of carp...definitely won't be bothering with that again.

Proabaly didn't help that I had also just watched The Dish wish, of course, is superb.
