sheesh i sure hope not... phil symthe was a great basketballer but as a talkback announcer i reckon he is crap... he comes across as a know-all, arrogant wanker, somewhat tin the vain of G Kornes and we sure dont need another Kornsey :? .... and i believe KG doesn't need the general he would be better off bowing out gracefully, just my opinion

I agree, KG has done a great job over the past 32 years, he doesnt need to ressurect his career, after all he still has the saturday morning/ football broadcast.

I don't think so, its pretty common knowledge Rowey has the job, I heard it from a AA source a month or two ago.

I'll throw in a 'smokey' for the gig, Wayne Phillips.

I think the crappy feedback the station has copped about Rowe will be enough to tip the scales, plus Flipper is not a clone of Rex Hunt as is Rowey, and a bad one at that!

Whoever does it is on a hiding to nothing so it may as well be this buffoon , oh for a reasonable show of information and interest rather than contrived rubbish and the same few callers who seem to think we want to hear them time and time again eg. "Malcolm, John from Pt Augusta and of course the world weary Derek who for some reason gets fawned over as if he is some intellectual and sporting guru. i suppose I will give it a chance but I hold no hope that Rowe will be worthwhile.

God no .... they are the most over-rated and over-exposed "comedians" in the country IMO

Scripted jokes and people from the station ringing in pretending to be listeners with surprisingly funny anecdotes at very short notice .. :-k

No thanks. Rowey isn't my first choice but it's mainly the sports talk-back and the interviews I tune in for anyway.

Steven Rowe is the most unfunny annoying moron on radio. Even Rex Hunt isn't as annoying. I'd prefer to stick needles in my eyes than listen to him.

Its interesting theres a "get out" clause for both sides (Rowe and AA). Will be interesting to see how long he lasts. I reckon maybe 6 months.

It was a great show tonight as well, very emotional. Greg Ritchie was great and all of his alias characters were as funny as they've ever been.

Seriously, congratulations on a wonderful career to KG, as much as he can be frustrating to listen to at times, he is an icon in SA and has had an amazing career. Was lucky enough to meet him at the recent SANFL Media Awards night and he was great to talk to.

WELL DONE KG !!!

Don't expect his wife Sandra to attend his final show tonight, she is still seething at the treatment fiveaa has dished out to KG.
