Norwood by about 6 goals is my news.

Yeah that's about accurate. Was pretty scrappy as you would expect for a first hit out. Payneham started well and were leading throughout most of the first half. Norwood came back a bit and then in the second half when 21 new players came on the field, Payneham ran out of legs. Pretty promising signs from some of the new recruits and a few other young lads looking to step up to the A grade squad.

In all was a good hit out giving most of Payneham's players 22 and under a run on norwood oval and a chance to show what they might produce in 2009

That being the case, how is it that Seaton has not been put under the same conditions re the change rooms? Not even pigeons could fornicate in that dump, how do they expect 21 players and support staff to prepare for a game of footy?????

A lot of them from Birdwood I believe?

Will be a travesty if Nick Jolly doesn't get a look in for U23's this year. I haven't seen him for a while but I'd hate to think how much he's bulked up in 12 months.

So with all these kids under 22 does this mean that PNU might field an U18's side for the first time since 1980-something?

It's like I said, the changeroom issue isn't a real one. It's the feral supporters.

Ace, unless modbury have done a lot of work on their change rooms, you should be more concerned about your mob having to put up with the crap that modbury offer as "facilities"

Moz, a lot of good work has been done in a tin shed, I reckon you'd know about our humble beginnings!

Still can't come to terms with the SAAFL criteria that is never adhered to regarding facilities.
It used to amaze me at Glandore, the oval surrounded by a chain link low fence one metre from the boundry. How someone didn't get their neck broken is beyond me!

Ace, i know about the tin shed at Dunc Fraser but that was nearly 40 years ago . your mob [ to their credit ] have progressed re. player facilities , modbury to their great shame have not. just pray that you don't play there when it is wet and muddy. then see how 'nostalgic' players feel about tin sheds.

On the subject of EP's new coach, how is he fitting in? Is there still residual anger about the depature of Payne?

How will Millar(spelling?) take EP further than Payne? Will he be able to impose the same discipline within the club?

Jimmy, I thought you had seen the light re making STUPID comments about perceived softness in teams. Kilburn get called alot of things but not SOFT. If you want to slag Shrek or whoever do it but don't sully a great Club's reputation or you just look stupid.

Initially it was uncomfotable for both parties (Dusty Millar and some players) with some residual anger but everyone is well past it now.

Dusty has shown his value on the track getting the team fitter than ever before. He is also a disciplinarian so I can't see the discipline side of things slipping at all, not if you want to play in the seniors at EP anyway.

All in all he's been pretty impressive and gets along well with everyone. His lad Damo Millar has fitted in quite nicely and Im expecting some very good things from him this year, smooth mover, good goal sense and doesn't shirk it either. Just gotta convince Zak there is no future playing SANFL footy and we will be laughing

There were a couple of new faces that have come down from Birdwood. We seem to have a decent group from there these days, and to think it started with Terry Rogers all those years ago.

Jolly was a little average on Thursday, grabs werent sticking and didnt have his kicking boot on, although in saying that he absolutely tore up some good quality defence last year and I agree he must be in the mix for a spot in the under 23's.

I have a feeling I heard that there will be an under 18's team from PNU this season.

Thats his problem, when he's off, he's off, I reckon I remember a couple of games where his points were nearly double figures  it's only early though, just hope he doesn't take it into the season...

I've got a good idea - speak to your mate tonight and sort him out. Otherwise, you're fair game like anyone else

What a load of crap Jimmy. You just made a silly comment and backed away from it like a girl. Sort out your own sexuality and have fun with the big boys in div 4.

You are so full of crap Jimmy.

1) You come from a club that hasn't played anywhere near as much div 1 footy as Kilburn, yet you have the temerity to say "well done for playing with the big boys".

2) You called Kilburn soft. Half our team left that year and we had a shocker. How about you show us the scores from the last two times we played PAOC. Or better yet, tell us what division you are in. I can say with certainty that we would flog PAOC. Go away and join another college team Jimmy no friends. We all know you keep running out of people that like you at each club.
