apparently they have heaps of cases on tomorrow night and have postponed all reserves games ones to next week...can I clear up he did not "hit" the umpire also!
scuffle broke out with quite a lot of players involved our player got grabbed by the umpire from his blind side and he swung around and pushed the umpire away thinking it was a Houghton player. We don't condone what he did but since when can umpires grab players? We'll be fighting this one big time.....all would have been avoided had umpire called the blatant free kick which started it all.
Didn't really think the umpire 'grabbed' your player, no else took a swipe at the ump as he made his way through the group of players. Maybe if he hadn't been so hot-headed (no use getting upset over a free-kick) in the first place he wouldn't have made the mistake of making forceful contact with the umpire. But you've obviously got to fight it somehow as it's a pretty serious offence.
Well according to a neutral observer/witness that is exactly what he did...little umpire who we had in the A grade saw the whole thing.
Fair chance our guy was a little peeved from being on the ground in a headlock and not being able to breath along with having one of his eyes being gouged out.

I think we've all heard enough about Saints vs Raiders for now, I'm not singling anyone out, I'm as much a cause as the next person, but with the bye this weekend this could go on forever and it won't get anyone anywhere. Enough about that game fellas.

Think we've all had enough. What is with St.Pauls College? Too rough, biting players, smashing umpires all from a college side? And What's with Houghton. Calling a college team too rough and dirty? Since when did the Houghton coach start feeding his players Marshmallows?

Henley- Still look the team to beat for the FLAG (but would be very worried about St Paul’s )
St Paul's-Must be the dark horse for the flag now.
Athelstone-still look a force even with all the injury they had during 1st half of the year.
Houghton Dis.-Could beat any team on their day but form still up and down.
SHOC-Players seem to change from week to week going up & down grades
(A side can't find any consistence if this happens every week.)
Flinders Uni-May get into top 5 by end of year.
(A must win game this week for this to happen)
Angle Vale-Hit hard by injury in the 1st half of year finding it hard with lack of numbers at the club (May improve if they can keep players on the field.)
Adelaide Uni-Looks as if these boys are only in it for the fun this year and let the RES get other Flag.
Ovingham Looks as if some of the players have thrown in the towel with lack of wins on the board.(Shame about this when it looked as if they could have worked for spot in the finals with 6 teams all fighting for that 5th spot and they are not far behind any of them)
North Pines-Could win some games in the 2nd half of the year if they keep current form before the Bye.(would be happy to finish the year of with 4 or more wins)

What's the deal here? 2 and a half years is a long bloody time, did they specify a number of games or is this coming under the umbrella of '12-game life ban'?
