Changing Drinking Patterns

Postby Wedgie » Sat Sep 16, 2006 6:36 pm

Have others experienced "changing drinking patterns?"
Ive encountered with Mrs Wedgie over the years when she went from Cider to Vodka to Scotch but since I was 19 I've always been a beer man with the occasional late dabble in Vodka.
Never liked Bundy but have found a real taste for it in the last few weeks and am finding myself never feeling like a beer and only feeling like a Bundy and Coke.
Have others been through this sort of traumatic event?

Welcome to the club Wedgie. Always said you had good taste. I have been on the Bundy and coke for about 3 years now. Never get blind drunk or agro on Bundy, but I'm a spastic on beer. As you may have noticed at the Gala Dinner.

p.s. ya birthday and that.

I have experienced something similar but it still fits with in the beer catagory gone from West End in the early years (may have been of legal age maybe not), realised what a stupid mistake that was and moved onto pale ale as drink of choice then about this time last year got hooked on Teds and about 3 months ago moved back to paleys. Now days its between Pale ale and Sol (Mexican West End). Spirit of choice will always be Canadian Club and nothing else.

Yeah I used to change beers quite a bit in the 90s, drank Draught, Export, Hahn Ice, even Eagle Bitter for a while until I discovered Paleys

Cheers mate, Mrs Wedgie keeps calling me your first name since I've taken up the bundy! :)

I actually drank more win in my 20s.
I think the fact that my favourite wine was an unwooded chardonnay put me off drinking wine as I didn't want to be classed a Crows supporter!

I think my drinking tastes are changing as I get older - definately.

I never used to drink ANY wine at all, but now appreciate a good red, usually the deeper reds. I've always loved Port and Muscat so getting in to reds is a bit easier than whites. I can't drink white win at all.

I find it hard to have a "social" beer though. It's either all or nothing. Can't stop at one!
