Did I get this information correct? A SMOSH supporter got 10 years from the SAAFL for ground invasion of some sort?

Salisbury v St Peter's OC - 100+
Mitcham v SMOSH West Lakes - if we want to play finals, must win and win well
Old Ignatians v Para Hills - PH up by 8 goals, in some very good form
Scotch OC v Portland - 2 goals, should be another close game, could go either way
Woodville South v Walkerville - 8 goals, too strong and experience for a depleted Woodville South

Rnd 17 Tips

SPOC over Salisbury - 20 goals + - no troubles of SPOC
Mitcham over SMOSH - 4 goals - Mitcham to keep pushing for 5th spot
Para Hills over Old Iggies - 10 goals - to much run, and to many damaging foward line players
Scotch over Portland - 4 goals - could go either way, Portland winning streak to come to an end
Walkerville over Woody South - 10 goals - Woody South in a whole lot of trouble.

Tips
SPOC by 60 points too strong across the field
SMOSH by 20 points - will struggle on Price Memorial
Old Iggies by 10 points - upset of the round, Rolfe is back and kicked 5 behinds last week, is Frinsdorf playing?
Scotch by 25 points - too strong on their mud heap
Walkerville by 40 points - will love the dry weather with their 6 blokes over 6 foot 5.

You said you were going to belt Scotch this week - pinch half of their white picket fence
to take back to Port Reserve and then win next week before winning the flag in September.

The way you were talking I think you will do it as well. You are a great coach and have a great runner.

We went OK against SPOC, was only three goals in it at 3/4 time before they kicked away a bit in the last. Beinke and Copping came off and were showered and changed when I saw them at the end of the game, Hardy was pretty good up forward, and Cantwell is easily the best player in the competition. A couple of grabs he took in the last quarter were freakish.

Good effort from our lads though.

Just looking at the Woody South/Walkerville results, how can Woody South's Bs beat a side that hasn't lost a game, and then lose the A Grade by over 20 goals?

I agree on Cantwell, he killed us earlier in the year too. Absolute gun.

SPOC tend to give you the idea that you are still in the game against them, then in the blink of an eye, split it wide open. Very good side, and will win the flag pretty easy IMO, barring a disaster.

We had Scotch on toast. Up by 15 points with about 5-6 mins to go in the last, after leading all day. Enter Rosser, kicked 3 goals in 4 mins and game over. Not sure why he was only down for 1 goal in the paper though ??? Perhaps giving his goals to Cahill, not sure. Losing Wareing with a hammy early in the 3rd didnt help our cause, and our second ruckman not showing up at all puts you on the back foot early. Still, should have won from the position we were in.

Story of our season really... :(

Very interesting indeed mate, especially seeing we gave Woody Sth's B grade an almighty shake last week with 17 men, and we couldn't beat an egg !!! (no disrespect to my lads ;) )

Maybe tanking is alive and well in the SAAFL !!!
