Exactly mate, I think it just came out wrong.

Don't get me wrong Felch - we love playing you blokes...it's just the issue of risking life, limb and vehicle every time we travel out there ;)

Now - Seaton and Kilburn - there's some suburbs I'll enjoy visiting next year...

Disapointing to see your not going on next year mate, good luck Saturday.

Thanks mate, im looking forward to standing on the hill with a beer next year, heckling big, lumbering opposition ruckman...keep an ear out... ;)

We should have done a deal with you blokes - when you come to our ground, we steal your car, keep it for 9 weeks then return it next time we play up there ! You would have to make sure it had a full tank though, or we burn it...

Just saw this - how apt.........

Bogan behaviour rife among young people

BEC GILL
August 14, 2009 12:30am

IS modern living corrupting the manners of today's youth?

Experts say contemporary phenomena such as social networking and the adoration of badly behaving stars is causing a breakdown of some long-established laws of etiquette.

Public drunkenness, foul language and excessive imprudence on social networking websites such as Facebook are examples of this increasing bad behaviour.

Model agent Tanya Powell, who teaches manners and etiquette to 500 students a year, said the public indiscretions of sporting personalities were fuelling bad behaviour in young men.

"Boys want to be like their sporting heroes, and binge drinking is a huge problem – the boys think it makes them look macho," she said.

Ms Powell said young girls were also displaying "bogan behaviour".

"They go out and get absolutely drunk and it looks very cheap and nasty," she said. "And it doesn't help when they drink from bottles like a man."

Foul language in public is another problem. Other manners flying out the window included "please and thank you" and the correct use of crockery and cutlery, she said.

Finesse models director Brigette Mitchell said she taught her students not to be seduced by the exploits of celebrities such as Paris Hilton in teen magazines.

"Some of these famous people are just not good role models," Ms Mitchell said. She warned students to be mindful of what they posted on Facebook, as it is "basically for public viewing".

"To a certain extent, some bad manners are simply part of being a teenager and rebelling, but there are definite dos and don'ts," Ms Mitchell said.

Dr Mia Stephens from UniSA's School of Communication said interpersonal communication on Facebook often lacked manners, and this sometimes had a flow-on effect in the non-cyber world.

"Because social networking is the young people's domain, they actually have to be the ones to work out the rules – and (yes) the rules are pretty poor," Dr Stephens said.

"And they are only letting themselves down when they post photos of the public drunkenness they are copying from the sports stars."

She said they were "letting everyone down" when they revealed personal details about others online.

"Lack of chivalry is one way of putting it . . . lack of social skills is another."

Well done to Thorny and Felch for their wins at Portland yesterday. A great way to send off both coaches.

From a personal perspective, I'm glad they didn't get relegated after 5 losses under a goal.

It's been great being a (very) part time participant in the club, something I would never have dreamed of a few years back. Best of luck to the club in it's efforts in 2010.

What a drunken pig Felch is though. Went in tonight to buy him a drink for his last game and he pissed off after getting the drink. Terrible drunken behaviour from the Super Coach. That Fisty and Piccachu although never have met until tonight are both fat and both drunks. Sounds like me a bit - sorry to all the drunken pigs out there in footy land like me, Fisty and Piccachu. You two are a disgrace. Piccachu - cant believe how fat you really are. Picked you for the medal in D3 earlier in the piece but how can you pick an absolute porker to win the Medal. Not many fat cu**s win a Medal. You told me tonight you were favourite as well. Disgraceful attitude to rate yourself above the opposition Mr Piccachua and for you Mr Fisty - disgraceful - 140kg

Thanks mate, your help was appreciated and i know the lads got a lot out of some of the ideas and training drills you took. Always good to get a different perspective on things, and fresh ideas.

Thornton was on fire yesterday too ;) ...it was a good end to an up and down season !
