what are peoples predictions of the team?

Mills, Doherty, Molyneux on the ball I would think. Who are people tipping for the ruck spot?
Tyson Thomas would be my pick.

I think Doherty will win. But I don't think he should get it. Not a fan of Max.

Best AND Fairest ? If I was selecting a team, I would have Mills and Molyneux picked before Doherty any day. He is undisciplined, he attacks players behind the play and he is not a team player or a good leader. Anyone but Doherty please.

Hmm tough call Ruben. Doherty is a hard player and he may occasionally give the odd jab to the ribs behind play but if you play at senior level you'd know there's no shortage of players that do that. Having played with Doherty at rep level I would also say that he is a great team player and protects his teammates well. He was also captain of one of the rep sides I was involved in with him and I found him to be a decent leader as well. That's my informed opinion on Doherty anyway.

Well for Doherty his season is over. Nuri took the game in a very hard game and could they do it again like they did in 08?

Nuriootpa 0.2 1.6 2.8 4.10 (34)
Freeling 1.1 2.3 2.4 2.5 (17)

Good to see that Freeling still don't know how to play a full game. They have had this problem all season. This time they let 2 quarters go. You cant play finals footy this way boys.
If I see it I say it.

To answer your question, CC, no they can't (do it again like last year). I saw the match and while Nuri did enough to win in difficult conditions, there is daylight between the two remaining Gawler sides and Nuri this year. It will be GC by at least 5 goals this week and then SG will easily account for Nuri the week after. Freeling looked the better side in the first half but failed to take their opportunities. Doherty played ok, but was effectively tagged to curb his influence.

Nuriootpa could go all the way as funny things happen in finals but from the games I have seen this season I believe that South Gawler will probably win next week by a couple of goals and then go on to win the flag

Nuri must feel like they are reliving last years fairytale finals series. congratulations to the Tigers for a gutsy win over the Redlegs. There is only one problem for Nuri, Jarrod Schiller (The best U'17.5 player by a mile) will not be eligible to take any part of Nuri's premiership assault this time around.

Who are people tipping in this weekend's junior matches?
U17 - Gawler Central v South Gawler - Class above everyone.

U15 - Nuriootpa v Barossa District - Schneider to get even closer to being the first under 15 to kick 100 goals!

Gawler central in the 17s and Nuriootpa in the 15s comfortably!
Centrals with Charlie are a completely different side

South V Gawler Central - I think South will get this one.

Nuri v Barossa - I will go for the team that people don't think will win. I just want to be different.
