Stuart Little wrote:MR Miraculous it appear that you and the Phantom have a few things in common. You both have very high opinons of yourself however opinions don’t = reality. I’m not sure why you would go on the PADC forum to state that sort of crap one would have thought that you guys would aim to reach 100 runs or even better maybe winning a game. If you want a challenge im guessing all the teams in div 1 especially NEK, Mr Holland Men Mawson North, Autos Roy Boys and Para Vi$ta would smack you so hard you not know what hit you. Just ask the Phantom 11 is a good number cause that is what number he would have batted at Mawson Lakes even when they have only 8 players

Your entitled to your opinion. If thats what you believe thats fine, im not going to try and convince you otherwise.

What happens next?

A) Get a cherry in the chops
B) Smacks a well timed six
C) Takes evasive action and falls onto the stump

A) get a cherry in the chops, the identity of the batter(not me) protected for the safety of the viewer.

The scores that were phoned in on the weekend are now available on the website. Note also the following:

CCCA Website wrote:The full results for round 1 are now all available, except that the score for Adelaide Lutheran B vs Fitzroy B needs to be amended. Remember that one-day games conclude as soon as the team batting second reaches the required score. Even if the captains decide to keep playing for a few more balls/overs "just in case the scores don't add up", the match report sent through must only include details up until the time the score was actually reached.

Hey Auto - we got sprung for continuing to play after the match was over.

I blame the captains. ;)

That is a joke!

You should be able to play on after there is a result. We missed finals by 26 runs last season and this is the time where you can get those extra runs that potentially get you the bonus points to get over the line come seasons end.

I understand why you dont, but also youd rather play an extra over to be sure you actually win the game than call the game off and then realise the scores dont tally. At the end of the day tho, Nath who bowled that extra over and went for 20 runs will be over the moon that that over doesnt count.

Anyways, both Nick and myself were both captaining our first games and as the game was played to the rules, pretty much on time and in great spirit the extra over is a minor issue.

Exactly - it is a very minor issue in the scheme of things, the association are just being pedantic on the off chance that the extra points decide who makes the finals, and they don't want to see a repeat of the final delegates meeting from last season. :)
