price increase for 2007

Postby bayman » Tue Nov 21, 2006 8:20 pm

i have it on good authority that next year the league will increase the admission price to $9.00, which i dont have a problem with (i get a seasons ticket anyway) but i ask when they are trying to increase crowds why increase the price i'd be going the other way & doing $2.00 days even get sponsorship & get $2.00 beers food etc even budgets

what do you guys think ??
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

Yeah I heard it was going up by $1 in September but didn't even think twice about it.
As long at the kids are still free Im happy, was a pain in the arse to fish out shrapnel for the finals.

I wish!
My mechanic is the one with the green ones!

Me and the missus either have season tickets of somesorts so its good not having to worry about paying for the kids with us all being able to walk straight into all games with just a couple of clicks on the tickets.

Still great value for under $10-, agree with Bayman they could be a bit more creative to increase crowds

I will wait until draw is released before renew my membership, not getting one if too many Sunday games but thats my little protest, besides for me I paid 2005 membership prices for last season so going up to $130 odd is a substantual climb adding to that the price rises of beer.
I would think that if they kept prices still at $8 but try a promote game more, alot more people might go which in turn would make more mula. My opinion only.

Not too fussed with the raise in Admission price, as will get a membership next season anyway.

However, if it would be possible, it would be nice to see a few special raised in other places.

Inflation is increasing, so no doubt the SANFL have a profit margin they need to maintain on the gate price to keep the same % of dollars comming in. Westar Rules have free admissions and it has been suggested that doing so devalues the competition and that is one of the reasons attributed to poor crowd numbers.

$9 is the same price as going to Morphetville races.
SANFL footy provides about 120 minutes of entertainment
8 races at Morphetville will provide about 15 minures of entertainment.

$9 still terrific value for a SANFL game.
