These parasites have made quite a name for themselves by the sound of it. Burnt a whole pile of Clubs with their economically honest ways. It's about time SAMCA took action and banned them from playing in all metropolitan cricket associations before they move on and suck the blood from another unsuspecting cricket club and tarnish their reputation! Pretty glad that our President at PV doesn't suffer fools and told them to sod off with their proposal. We don't put up with tools and I'm glad Paralowie have taken the necessary action to cut these leeches free. Hopefully the Association recognise that Paralowie are trying to save face and put things in place to right the wrongs. Now if we could get the rest of the boys to have a beer after the game.... ;)

We were also approached with their proposal, it's not how we operate and it seems as though we were just going to be used for an oval to use and affiliation fees to be paid.

The true extent of their parasitic ways are starting to be revealed in their full light. Even more reason why they should be banned from playing in any metro cricket association again. They have proven time & time again they have little regard for following the rules and showing respect to the associations they play in, and the game of cricket as a whole. Allowing them to play elsewhere is just moving the problem along and not addressing it. My only concern is whether the Roo's will be tarred with the same brush, as technically they are (as at their last game) Paralowie.

It'll be interesting to see what course of action C&CCA take, and maybe even SAMCA if they decide to step in.

From our point of view, our club needed players. Players bring in $. Our club needs $. Its a pity it ended up like this but rest assured, steps are being taken to make sure it doesnt happen again.

If you had of done some homework you would've worked out the following:
1: They didn't want to be part of your club, how many shirts etc. have they bought.
2: How many times have they gone back to the club for a beer after the game.
3: How many have paid rego.
4: We're they there to benefit your club in any way apart form the stigma of having more sides.
5: Is it financially viable to rent another oval and pay the extra affilliation fees.

I know hindsight is a wonderful thing but you needed to collectively weigh up the pro's and con's to whether it was going to be worth it for you.
We lent you a set of mats for a game, they came back poorly rolled up and we decided to say "no" next time. Steve Baxter then asked if we could lend them to you for the remainder of the season so we said yes to him. Next thing you know, the same bloke as the first time came to get them, we trusted that Steve would look after them.

1. They asked us at the start of year if we had any shirts and whatnot. But we havent had proper Roo Cricket shirts for a couple of years so that didnt happen.

2. Again, first few months of the season they came back after a days play and had a few beers but as the year went on this became very minimal, as with the A Grade.

3. I think 90% or more of them have paid their rego

4. Obviously not now when you look at it, they never put their hands up for higher selection. But a few did fill in for the A's throughout the year. At the start of year alot of talk from a few of the so called leaders in their sides was happening about how they would help out the club with stuff but with Dutchy not being there 70% of the time it made things difficult with communication between the teams and players.

5. I have no idea of the costs involved with hiring ovals, affiliation fees.

As for the mats mate, you have every right to be not satisfied. But as i dont know the agreements made between Smithfield and Us i cant comment any further.

All in all, yes hindsight is a wonderful thing

We as a club are happy this poor cricket season is finished with, next step is too rid the club of the bad seeds. Hopefully next season you'll see a better and improved Paralowie CC.

Good luck to all teams in the Grand Final! For my tip, PV have some good lads in the team whereas the Roys have a few arrogant lads so im gonna go with PV but not by much.

All good then mate, lesson learnt. We had a horrible season last year and nutted out where things had gone wrong and set out to fix the probelms. We gained two players for our A's and lost four, we restructured our selection processes and focussed more on making sure our A's was a more attractive grade 2 play. It has worked.
09 A's 8th in Grade 2, B's 6th in Grade 4.
10 A's big chance of minor premiership, B's 50/50 chance of fininshing 4th in Grade 3.
Sometimes it takes a crap year to assess where you are heading as a club, Good luck next season, I know it's hard but you have to focus on have cricketers that play footy not the other way round during cricket season.

Cheers mate but with the bit in bold, thats never gonna happen lol. Our A Grade (especially the past couple of years) are just a bunch of mates that look forward to doing something over the summer.

I do know that Dutchy has talked to 1 person in particular about coming out to coach and play for us. If this were to come to fruition then yes, we will have cricketers instead of footballers playing A Grade.

Good Luck to your teams also LMQ

Did i finish last? Well at least i tip my team every week.

if there is ever a competition that rewards that, you might do well.
But until then...

This is true, and if there is ever a cricket competition for number 11's who bowl pies, Pidge might get a gig as 12th man.

They were not happy played a player under a different name yes but he was also under suspention which is why enfield went through who will they play next week in GF and who will win?
Funny thing is the association was called by paralowie as an enfield player was not happy with a caught behind dessision in the first week and they came just to have a chat to both teams, then this (handbag) bloke was Q? and as he played and made 29 runs first innings the game was always going to be a voided game with the points to enfield this player played all year aswell.

I don’t know if these are the same guys but I do believe they are. All following the Handbag. At the start of this season I had some heated words with a few of these parasites. They bagged a few members of the PDCA and said some nasty things about Elaine Figallo that was not called for.
Elaine went out to watch a few games to make sure that a few individuals were not playing as they had been suspended from PDCA. These guys threaten to put up harassment charges against Elaine and the PDCA.
I have many messages on Face book in regards to this saying that the president of the Church Association is taking it to the police for stalking, the PDCA is going under because of this. I hope she get hit in the head. What a load of ****
We knew all along that they would play under different names but I can’t believe that they did and Paralowie let them get away with it. They are all followers and where ever they go next watch out to that club.
