The Bay.

A recently released 'eco-horror' movie that was a lot more interesting than I thought it would be.

Captain Phillips

Typically tense and gripping Paul Greengrass (Bloody Sunday, United 93, Bourne) fillum.

Tom Hanks will probably get another Oscar nom. There's one scene in particular that should seal the deal. Still reakon his best role was Uncle Ned in Family Ties.

Barkhad Abdi will be a big chance for a Best Supporting Actor nom as Muse, the Somali pirate.

Beasts of the Southern Wild

Not exactly sure what the hell was going on at times.

But it's still pretty epic.

I think Smaccer was cracking a funny.

Her partner was a dog of a bloke, really had her by the throat.

Will the fact it's claimed to be a true story, and Captain Philips was no hero help?

The 'boonta' was always there, it just needed a bit of prodding.

Amanda Bynes would be a 'ten-pinter' for me.
