Then you'll love it! Hanks is amazing. As always.

Stay for the end credits!

You get a glimpse of what an absolute nightmare P. L. Travers was...

was off work with a back injury earlier in the week, so ended up watching a few movies.

first one i saw was snowtown. have to say it was really well made, and a great examination of what can happen when a strong and manipulative character is allowed to basically have free reign over the people around him. I think they handled the whole situation pretty respectfully as well, it wasnt really a blood and gore flick, they toned it down a TON from what i have read elsewhere about what these people did to their victims, it was more a crime drama than horror film and that was how it should have been. i would give it 7/10

i think watched prisoners with hugh jackman and jake gyllenhaal, and was pretty disappointed. the first half of the movie was really good, but the plot just loses its way towards the end, and there was the almost scooby-doo-esque "i did it, you caught me" scene when you f inally work out who the kidnapper was, which just ruined the whole movie.

6/10

the last movie i watched was the intouchables, which is a film about a rich quadriplegic who hires a young black guy from the projects as his carer. It is all in french but dont let that put you off, it was one of the better movies i have seen in a while. it is part drama part buddy comedy, but it basically revolves around the friendship of these two, and how a lot of the time the worst thing you can do to a disabled bloke is treat him with pity.

excellent, 8/10

Casino Royale goes alright, but I guess that's not predominantly about poker.

The Dark Knight wrote:My girlfriend and I saw Anchorman 2 on Saturday night and thought it was a good laugh but not great, very cooked movie.

Yesterday we watched Monsters University which I had to see after loving Monsters Inc years ago now, that was a pretty good movie, Mike and Sully are great characters. We also watched The Frozen Ground, I really enjoyed it, very interesting and gripping story.

Then last night we watched Notorious, the story of rapper Notorious B.I.G, great movie.

Have to agree TDK- Jamal Woolard's portrayal of Biggie was, imo, almost faultless- both mannerisms and voice.
