Adelaide AFL fans = SOFT

Talk on the national game

Adelaide AFL fans = SOFT

Postby Dutchy » Sun Jul 20, 2008 8:11 pm

Biggest game of the year and they draw 31k? :?

WTF?

I agree with Rucci, time for there to be only 1 showdown each year, why would the AFL persist with 2 when the fans just dont show up?

Disgraceful and embaressing to SA..

have to agree especially seeing it was 22 degrees, no rain and cold win blowing, not as though we can close the bloody roof

Yep, it was a Port home game, they're the soft ones. Can't blame the Crows fans for not wanting to sit amongst 20,000 Port fans.

I think 30,000 to see a game between 2 underachieving teams who haven't won in over a month is a pretty good crowd on a day like this. I know I was happy to be indoors today.

Im not a Crows supporter, Im a Geelong supporter thanks mate.
If Port can't draw people to their home games they only have themselves to blame, noone else.

Havent these clubs got over 70,000 members combined? they keep pumping up their membership numbers...

no one can excuse such a poor crowd, Crows would have been 6th with a win, instead they are 9th, surely the Crows fans arent that fickle when finals action is still on the line?

Today's crowd = around 32,000

It was only 15,000 less than the NM v Coll crowed at telstra dome on a Friday night under cover :?

.... in a city with 3 times the population and a match between 2 top 8 teams including the highest drawing team in the comp :?

AND it was 8000 more than turned up to 1st v 3rd on Saturday

:-k

For the record here Skilled Stadium's capacity is only 28,000

Their crowd of 24,000 was their biggest for the year probably

I was just trying to put today's crowd in the rain in some sort of perspective for Dutchy

Our 1.87 million dollar profit last year was quite nice thank you. :D
I think that was about double what Port made.
Considering we were 7 million in debt in the late 90s and now have 8 million in assets things are going quite swimingly down at Sleepy Hollow thank you.
