I enjoyed a personal guided tour of the genetic research laboratories at the combined SA Museum/Uni of Adelaide project today.
Not only are modern gene sequencing machines amazing but I got to handle and examine the skulls and bones of extinct native megafauna.
An interesting minor side line was being introduced to Jane Lomax-Smith, whom I'd not met before.
We had in common both being medicos, and both knowing some of the same ALP-SA former Ministers.
(I did reveal my membership of the Liberal Party during the conversation.)
