Paul Stelzer to Mallala. Bates as well. I assume Bates is 0 points?

What about retirements? Hahn? Young? Feast? Any going around again or those who did retire having second thoughts?

Stelzer good pick up for mallala

Yeah, good player. Played against him in 2009 when Renmark won the flag in the RFL.

Kind of, also thought I'd try and see if we can get some different perspectives into the paper. Broaden the coverage etc.

I have an idea for you... Why dont you approach all clubs and ask them for a representative to do a match report for their home games only...
Each rep would then only have 8 reports to do in a year instead of covering the full 18 rounds, still get their bye weekends off..
That rep then gets it to you to put your finishing touches on and walah, 3 match reports done for you each week without too much pressure on an idiviual over the season/

You may have to sway them with a small fee per game but I assume you pay people who write them now? or make it part of a sponshorship dela so the Proddy gets its sign up at every game...

(each club might even change who does the report to share the load)

???

It's a good idea in theory but its just another job for volunteers. I know it happens in some areas (reckon the Eastern Eyre clubs do it for the EP Tribune).

Not sure if it's the answer though.

Still, appreciate the suggestion.

Now, I see two Carrs are coming to the APFL. Any idea where to?

Thought this was the agreement already between producer and clubs, also remember in the late 90s a club coloum in the paper each week with stories from clubs under false nicknames before the producer made them pay for it to be put in which killed it,used to be a good laugh to read.

Mallala has been lucky to have Lindsay N who has done the A grade report for years. Does a great job!! Before that Brian Verrall wrote it for many years.

Catman,

I actually would enjoy doing this, unfortunately for me my work committments wouldn't allow me to make the committment.
That plus the fact I often float around different leagues to watch footy on different weekends if time permits.

If I was asked by a club on a particlular day I was there, I would enjoy it!

How about you?

Lindsay does both A and B grade matches for the Mallala home games. He's the only one that does it though. Like I said, it is another job for volunteers at clubs where volunteers are often hard to come by. So we're lucky to still have Lindsay doing it, in that respect.
