What Are You Listening To Now?

I've started to put together 3 album playlists on the ipod to roll around for a week at a time in the car. I spend a fair bit of time in the car so three albums in a week, I'll hear each album 2-3, maybe 4 times. This weeks are :

Original Pirate Material - The Streets

Yield - Pearl Jam

Nimrod - Greenday

Yield = amazing

My second favourite album behind Vs.

Ten, for mine with Yield and Vs right there, Backspacer also a pretty good album IMO.

"Ten" came along at a very formative time for me, 1991 heading into year 12 at school and then getting my first car. The times I cruised around in that burnt orange XE S Pack with "Porch" ripping out my Alpine system.......oh, good times, good times.

Powderfinger. Not by choice. The cafe i am sitting at is playing them. I'm thinking of suing for damages. My God they are bloody awful.

EDIT - Now they are playing Noiseworks(!!??). Someone must have released a CD of "the worst of australian music."

I agree with you both, if that makes sense.

In my opinion, Internationalist was their last great album, and Odyssey Number Five was good in patches. I think they jumped the shark with Vulture Street.

I think all of those albums are brilliant but their last couple of albums are average

I love Powderfinger and listen to them alot. Double Allergic is my favourite Powderfinger album followed by Internationalist. Agreed with Failed Creation on Odyssey Number Five in the that it good in patches, same with Vulture Street IMO. Dream Days at the Hotel Existence only had a few good songs on it for mine.

Pretty much spot on there. Dream Days was a last gasp attempt to keep moving forward together I think. That album wasn't great, Bernard's Mrs got in his ear and they all parted ways. Probably good timing to do so too.
