When the **** will Rush finally come to Australia?

Yeah, really enjoy their live albums, although their studio albums don't do as much for me (admittedly I've only listened to 2 or 3). Neil Peart is a great lyricist.

Would certainly go and see them live if they toured.

I can see where you're coming from. Which albums have you heard?

Only Snakes and Arrows, Clockwork Angels, and Roll the Bones. Don't mind the latter, especially the first half of it. Will have to look into some of their earlier albums.

If only I could make you a mixed CD. Do you have Spotify on your PC?

2 or 3 albums? Dude, that's a really tough call.

How about I suggest you listen to these songs?

'Working Man' - from Rush
'A Passage to Bangkok' - from 2112
'Bastille Day' - from Caress of Steel
'Caravan' - from Clockwork Angels
'Headlong Flight' - from Clockwork Angels
'Animate' - from Counterparts
'Stick It Out' - from Counterparts
'Nobody's Hero' - from Counterparts
'Closer To The Heart' - from A Farewell To Kings
'Best I Can' - from Fly By Night
'Red Sector A' - from Grace Under Pressure
'Kid Gloves' - from Grace Under Pressure
'La Villa Strangiato' - from Hemispheres
'Time Stand Still' from Hold Your Fire
'Tom Sawyer' - from Moving Pictures
'Limelight' - from Moving Pictures
'YYZ' - from Moving Pictures
'Entre Nous' - from Permanent Waves: My favourite Rush song. I even have some of the lyrics tattooed on me.
'Freewill' - from Permanent Waves
'The Spirit of Radio' - from Permanent Waves
'Territories' - from Power Windows
'Presto' - from Presto
'Superconductor' - from Presto
'Subdivisions' - from Signals
'Driven' - from Test For Echo
'Virtuality' - from Test For Echo
'One Little Victory' - from Vapor Trails
'The Seeker' - from Feedback

I'm a bit of a Rush nerd, as you can probably tell now...

Cheers FC. Some of those you've listed are among my favourite tracks from the live albums I have (Red Sector A, Nobody's Hero, Driven, YYZ, Animate). Will check the others out, especially Entre Nous 8)

My favourite Rush albums are Counterparts, Test For Echo, Presto, Permanent Waves, and Clockwork Angels. I'm too greedy to pick just one favourite.

Have fun!

Where has all the love for Rush come from in the past few years?
They weren't ever on my radar and in recent times there's been a huge rise in interest in them.

I know what you mean, Dogwatcher.

The first time I heard Rush was in my early high school days, and a mate's old man was a huge Rush nut. He'd play nothing but Rush in his home, and I thought they were ******* geeky at the time. Mind you, all I'd listen to was punk, metal and grunge stuff back then.

It wasn't until I lived in Canada (where Rush seems to be on the Classic Rock stations every 10 minutes), that I began to see the appeal. I expanded from only hearing the commercial stuff (Tom Sawyer, Limelight), to experiencing the whole back catalogue. I'm hooked.

Same. First heard them in the late 70s and was really hoping they'd gone away. :-s

Thanks mate! I consider that soundtrack almost a 'lost' Fantomas album.

Not bad, supposedly there were two albums worth of material recorded but here we are four years later and it still hasn't come out but if the speculation is true that Faith No More are working on a new album I'd certainly take a new FNM album over another Mondo Cane one ;)
