I moved house about 3 weeks ago and stumbled across a box of items that I never unpacked from my previous move (5 years earlier!) I found a few cd's that I have been playing endlessly for a few days now. Bands include Pollyanna, Jebediah, Magic Dirt, Hoss. It was like finding a 90's Australian Rock time capsule.

Judging by your dress sense on the weekend, cd's weren't the only thing you found in that 90's time capsule.....

I'm listening to Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways.

Quite frankly, I'm a little underwhelmed. I miss the Fooeys of old, when they were a 'balls to the wall' rock band.

Sadly, my dream that they'd make another album like Foo Fighters seems unlikely to come true.

This is how I'll remember them...

I'm listening to it for the first time as we speak - Something from Nothing is a really good song - the rest of it i probably agree, a little underwhelming.

it kind of sounds like the songs are building to an awesome peak, but that just never comes.

will have to listen to it a few times before i give a proper opinion though, sometimes the songs grow on you
