10am tee off... I'll be the short one with a maori and a huge ranga... interesting combo, kinda sounds like the start of a bad joke!

had the pleasure of driving down Days Rd this morning alongside the golf course and I drove with caution for any stray golf balls potentially coming my way, but I felt safe when I saw a ride-on mower just parked to the side of the green (possibly 8th)

As we go to the 8th at regency where NG has put his tee shot just short and left of the green, knocks his 2nd within 2 feet and taps in for par.

The huge ranga seems to have found the greenside bunker a tad tricky to get out of and overshoots the green.

Killed the 8th, was a shining light on an otherwise average round... finished with 48 for 9.

Parred the first and thought i was in for a good day but a few errant/lazy shots and at least 4 putts mofe than i should have blew it out.

my short irons are definately the area i could do with the most improvement. Once i get within 100m i seem to struggle getting it right.

Perfect day for it though and not too displeased. My best was 46 previously so it isnt too far off...

I was happy with the course, Greens were good, ran nicely. Not too quick. Fairways (not that i was on them enough) were also a good length, and wven if you werent on the fairway the 'rough' wasnt bad either. Luckily i didnt end up in any sand but from what i saw it was not too difficult to play out of.

Where were you mickey?

gotta be happy with that putting MT79
I played last weekend and had 32pts for the day. Had about 7 puts do the around the world then lip out. Also scratched 2 holes on the front 9. Apart from that hit them pretty well. I am really hitting my long irons well ATM which is good and only occasionally pulling a sand or lob wedge on approach shots.

I certainly was today. The first 3 rounds were in my normal group, Which is a really relaxed group but the final round of the champs they pair the top 4 from each grade together, So it's almost match play. All of a sudden instead of just worrying about your game your also taking in your playing groups shots and putting more pressure on yourself. I hope that makes sense.

But yes I choked. Missed soooooooo many putts (standing over the ball thinking I really need this, instead of just walking up and sinking it)

On one of our par 3's (165meters) I've played a 5 iron it's heading straight at the green, Lands about 10meters short straight on a spinkler head, Boucers 25m in the air rolls over the back of the green and trickles about 20cm out of bounds. Sums up my day.

Played in the spring classic at Barmera last weekend and my mate got a hole in one on a 185 metre par 3. He won a grand for his efforts. Great idea they have at Barmera. In every comp, a hole in one is $1000.00. They use 50 cents from every comp fee towards the kitty. Wish my club did that. I'd never get a hole in one but it's a good way to get people out playing. Seen two hole in ones now but I still can't get close.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.
