Goal after the Siren was kicked by Johncock, on the far side northern end. The siren went Reynella supporters and some players cheered then realised there was still a kick to be had. Great game of footy. Must say all 5 games were great. It was a fantastic day at SFL Grand Final. Congrats to all teams.

Congrats to Noarlunga on winning yesterday.

I am still bemused that they played with 14 player points yesterday. Interesting problem for the SFL in season 2015 how many points do Noarlunga get? down to 15 or 9 as they should have after winning the flag in 2014. If 9 points will they lose any players or with any retirements will recruiting be an issue.

If the SFL points fairy is generous again one would imagine 15 or 12 points would see the Shoes favourites again in 2015.

While it may have been a great help this season it may impact in the next. Another little anomaly is Hudson playing for West Adelaide in the morning and Shoes in the afternoon.. Cannot happen for juniors obviously Senior footy is ok.

Shoe Boy I know you will say we didn't ask for them it was the points fairy handed them to you on a plate. I just hope it doesn't come back to bite in the next couple of years when Shoes revert to 9.

Again congrats winners are grinners and losers can well you know!!

DTH

I understand your Secretary got a little carried away yesterday and might have upset not only Valleys but the dreaded maroon coats?? Not really College behaviour..

Well done to NFC. Been a few years between drinks.

They did very well with their recruiting & some of their recruits were very good.

The concerning thing would be how many of Saturdays 21 are a product of thier junior system? I would say 7 at max, that doesn't bode were for the future.

I wouldn't worry too much Numbers, I am sure the SFL will have something in place to ensure they defend their flag next year.

I think you will find the Happy Valley player reported in the U18 grand final was Curyer.
As far as I'm aware it was for abuse. It would seem his relationship with the umps has gone from good to bad in the space of a week!

Does anyone know the message behind Happy Valley U/18s banner on Saturday?

Who was meant to be tearing them apart?
Was it a poorly hidden message to the departing A-Grade coach?
Was it a message of defiance to the rest of the club?
Was it a clever attempt at humour, as the banner got torn apart soon after?
Was it a reference to unsold raffle tickets?
Or was it just a lame attempt at copying Port?

Is this a poor attempt to deflect attention from your own U18's?

My suggestion would be to get your own house in order before you start poking fun at others.

As you should be. Did it within the available rules, recruited well and got the job done. Not much more can be said than that, Congrats to Noarlunga and congrats to Johncock having the composure with a very fatigued body to calmly slot the winner. Noarlunga has given a lot of teams something to think about for 2015 after pulling themselves from the ashes of what could have been a very ordinary 2014.

As Christies Beach were not playing, there was no banner.

So what was that all about anyway?

Great to see young lads N Mott, T Mott, L Sutton, S Carlyle, T Caudle all follow in their dads foot steps becoming NFC premiership players.

The concept was great for all involved but you will find the Shoes will stand alone and under guide lines NO player from either side will be jumping ship :)

Agreed, no player that was part of the merged side should be able to get a clearance without a decent reason. There would obviously be more A Grade opportunity at Aldinga for some.

Also, SB you mentioned the players that has followed in their old boys footsteps which is always good to see but haven't answered how many of the 21 are Noarlunga Juniors. Any idea how many?
