CD 29 POINTS
Whatever happens early is ?
But I do think CD will overrun ST in the 2nd half
ST smashed CD at Unley
CD came from behind to win the next 2 games

CD 14-14
ST 10-9

Hate to be pedantic but this is not a 2002 rematch... just happens to be a contest between the same two clubs.

I hate this rematch/replay b*%@&^$t... its said all the time. But I'm yet to see a trophy have the winner's name scratched out and a new one put on!!

Good luck to both teams this week you would suspect CD wins easy however as we saw in 02 and 06 accidents do happen.

I said before Sundays game that Glenelg or Sturt cant win a flag this year Centrals can lose one.

Ive always been one with the opinion that if my team dont win i dont care who does

Selection will be interesting for both teams

Good luck to all and have fun

Not sure if this has been brought up elsewhere...

If Sturt win they become the 1st side since 1976 to win the premiership after losing the Qualifying Final the same year. Which happened to be Sturt.

Spelly to confirm?

At this stage i hope the players don't have the same attitude as me.

Im personally just planning on really enjoying another GF week, training at football park (wednesday), will go to the parade (Saturday), then the training after the parade and game day sunday followed by the after party. In most recent years i haven't been able to be part of the whole week due to work commitments but not this year.

As for the game..................................................whatever will be will be, im going to enjoy the day either way.

Centrals will be very hungry for this flag, they've done a magnificent job in both finals to get to the GF, I'm sure they don't want to waste the effort, there will also be a bit of fire in the guts from '02, such is their arrogance. That is a compliment not a jibe.

I've been of the (perhaps arrogant) opinion this year that if the Bays made it through to the GF, the Dogs would beat them soundly but if the Blues got in, they could stretch the Dogs and perhaps defeat them. There is absolutely no logic to this other than that Sturt match up pretty well on the Dogs and don't fear them - though they certainly respect them. I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm confident but I'm not unconfident ;)

I think it would be fair to say the majority of Central fans don't think we will win easily, including myself. This one will continue the finals trend this year and go right down to the wire IMHO.

It's going to be one of those weeks where there will be rumours, stories, innuendo on who is playing and who is not (there will probably be the most back and forths in recent memorry) but i guess we won't know until both teams run onto football park this Sunday

I second that. Bloody nervous as anything. A 50/50 game if ever there was one.

Isn't it great?! As soon as we won yesterday I thought - this is going to be a sensational week...

Clarrie Jnr (two and a half) woke up this morning and the first thing he said was - 'We go to the Grand Final?'

Who would you drop for him? As said about other players, he would need to be 100% no questions asked fit to play.

Redemption.
While, the 2002 match has no bearing on this one - the two sides are quiet different, that loss has been the one wound in this great decade that has really stuck in the craw of many Doggies supporters.
It's a new challenge and one the boys will be up for.
I hope we get the right result.
