Day 1 and Abbott says today he wants to bring a bit more civility back to question time, the gall of the bloke.

Abbott is already losing the plot ... Turnbull just has to be patient whilst this clown self implodes under the spotlight.

Australia's version of George W Bush.

Whenever somebody makes this statement I imagine us all huddling around a home made candle for warmth wearing our woolie hats and kaftans over all the rest of the clothing we own.

The philosophy seems to depend on the idea of us all reducing energy consumption.
The only people who will do that are the ones who can't afford to pay the increasing energy bills.
What we need is abundant, clean, affordable, energy...

The problem was, some of the things that labor did pissed people off, so it was as much an appetite for change than it was liberal being a viable alternative.

Abbots tactic of being extremely negative and lying straight to the face of the public was also extremely effective for people that don't inform themselves about the issues they care about.

This is going to be a rough ride for the next few years
