Another fact that gets conveniently overlooked, in favour of emotive terms like "age of entitlement"

I love the press conference for COAG and how Jay was talking about the distribution of funds and Abbott and Barnett were just laughing at him

just saw this headline

wind turbines near Canberra offend Joe Hockey

I would've thought it was a great location given the amount of wind they all huff and puff in one way or the other!

Im probably in the minority, but as an electrical engineer I think wind turbines look utterly majestic.

And another thing that continually amazes me when people say that they look ugly - most of the time they are sitting on the top of a windswept hill that was cleared for farmland 100 years ago, like the picture depicts - they arent ruining natrual landscape, they are adding to landscape that we ruined 100 years ago!

Abbot, time and time again, and again, and again, and again pilloried Gillard for her introduction of a carbon tax, and now it's all good for him to do the same just because they did it?

Pretty childish really.

try asking what I ment about the post first before again and again putting words in my mouth like you continually do.

Just so you know, the post was "carbon tax" in reference to "there will be no new taxes under the government I lead " as in did that forum user mean what Gillard said as to me it sounds like something she said, not that he or they did if first.
But I can admit when a party makes mistakes, unlike others who have weekend BBQs with their loved ones ;)
In your defence, sorry I didn't word it for others to understand and didn't have my "make sure bennymacca understands my post" book handy at the time

But I am sure you will find another way to twist this post to make yourself look better as usual , so jog on

sorry if it came out like i was attacking you, i just used your post as a chance to rant, as i often do

apologies :(

The Howard govt received an Audit Commission report which in many recommendations is identical to the one just released by the Abbott government. The only thing that saved Howard getting turfed out after one term was Tampa.

Backgrounding of journos by Abbott's cabinet ministers has already started, including referenced to Turnbull.

Abbott has completely misread the mood of the electorate and his own party. He was a very effective vehicle to destroy Rudd and Gillard with his wrecking ball but now has no where to hide.

I repeat again, Turnbull will be the PM by the next election.

I really hope you are right Dedja, but do you think they will replace the PM in his first term after making such a huge song and dance when Labor did it?

I wouldn't have initially thought so Roxy but the fact that journos are already being back grounded gives us hope. Some obviously very pissed off blue tie brigaders at the moment.
