I was watching the show benny.
He was merely saying the the Dr had a viewpoint and defended her right to appear at the conference
The rest is beat up by people who like to be constantly heard and think they have a right to say when someone else shouldn't be allowed to be heard
Maybe the AMA can come clean on all the f***ups they've made and supported over the past 1000 years.
There are a lot of instances when it only comes down to people questioning doctors associations, that we get some proper evidence.
I have no idea whether this doctor is right, but she has every right to say her piece

Well what you are describing is belief not science. If her claims have been discredited then no, she is not entitled to her view, u less that view is publishing new peer reviewed research that might add new support to her claims.

As for the AMA and their like, take the situation with ulcers and Helicobacter pylori two Australians identified the link between it and ulcers in 1982. They concluded that the bacterium, not stress or diet, causes ulcers. They were called quacks at the time and it took nearly 20 years before doctors actually believed it. Doctors also pilloried the use of vitamins for health but have now jumped on the bandwagon with all guns blazing. Jeez, they even say we should get out into the sun again because they've caused an epidemic of Vitamin D deficiency

Dental amalgam is an alloy made up of silver, tin, copper and mercury. Mercury is one of the most poisonous elements and these idiots say it's not harmful to us.

So you are pretty clearly not a scientist or even have a scientific bone in your body jimmy. To say that just because a compound has mercury in it makes it dangerous is laughable. There are also many compounds that are toxic in large doses or used incorrectly. Uranium is pretty bloody toxic too and it gets used all the time.

Hydrogen, one of the most explosive gases around, created, toxic to inhale it in large doses, key ingredient in cyanide, petrol AND THE HYDROGEN BOMB.

So we must ban it! Especially when we smash a couple of them with oxygen. oxygen makes things burn much better so that combination can't be good. That joke may even be lost on you, hope not.

Also the other things you are describing regarding the ulcers are excellent. The dude won a in a Nobel prize for it. Doesn't mean you get to conflate all wrong science with the currently accepted norm just because it could be right. There is such a thing as scientific method.

With regards to politicians of all persuasions yes they should all be held to account for saying wrong or misleading things. You arguing that SHY should stfu is probably more your opinion than anything else. Go look at your mate Pyne if you want an example of blatantly wrong statements on the other side too.
