Yes

And an outbreak of foot-in-mouth syndrome

this is what is so comical to me at the moment about voters and the PM. A lot of people have shoort minds and believe it has only been tony that has lied and stuffed things up. Short memories of previous governments

nah....its only abbott who has ever lied to get the PM

So you're happy for a Labour government to be held accountable, but willing to look the other direction for a Coalition government. Says a lot.[/quote]
******* hell Q, dont you deal speak ill of the Liberal Hero's. We all know its labours fault and Tony is a good man, an honest man......

No of course not. I was just imagining a world were politicians didnt lie and almost got hit by a unicorn.

That doesn't mean we should let them get away with it though, right? That's basically what bully was suggesting.

Of course he should be held accountable but its unlikely he will until the next election. Plenty of sewage to go under the bridge before then.

I dont think this is the case. I suspect either something else is at play or they are deliberately trying to test the water for some reason. The reason I think this is because the alternative of having our federal treasurer that stupid is scary.

Abbott doing everything possible to ensure he's booted out of the PM chair.

First he reinstates knighthoods, then he awards one to ... Prince Philip ... WTF???

Abbott is certainly starting to look like joining Rudd and Gillard as dud PMs.

The Libs will be scratching their heads on how to rid themselves of this fool but it may prove very difficult to do if they want to keep any confidence with the electorate.

The longer he stays, the bigger the liability he will become, and it will get to the point where they will have to punt him or a heap of backbenchers will lose their seats and unbelievably, they will be at risk of losing government at the next election.

We all wondered how Rudd could make a complete mess of things in such a short timeframe but Abbott is looking to beat Rudd's effort.

A case of them talking to us as if we are stupid. Then again, modern politics has become the art of finding the lowest common denominator.

All about getting airtime during the news bulletin, and let's face it, they are not going to run a story on the structure of income tax.

Sadly, this stuff appeals to the same crowd who criticised Beasley for being too "intellectual".
