Good Choice FC, home grown son who has a passion for the state... or maybe we could get a Victorian who everyone has always hated.

Dizzy was actually born in NSW, but he played 99% of his first-class career here. Don't forget Berry did play a season for S.A. too...

I believe so. I think it was 1989/90, the same season a young Michael Bevan was also a temporary Croweater.

SA were allowed to select players from Interstate whilst attending the cricket academy, provided their home state didn't want them in their team and their form in the local competition warranted selection.

From memory, we also had Bevan play for us in the same circumstances.

Scuderi too. And also an opener, Brett Williams I think his name was.

I did mention Bevan a few posts prior to this, however I wasn't aware Scuderi was in the same boat. It's good that he stuck around for a while too.

I think Giant New South Welshman Phil Alley also played for the Backs at some stage.

Correct that he was born a blue bagger but don't think he played for them at all I went to school with him at Cabra College and while he never played cricket for school I think he was an Adelaide junior and from there went on to play for sa and then Australia . Was hevealy in to the basketball at school as well btw !
