Was $85 for a three day ground pass, which gets you everywhere except Rod Laver Arena and Hisense Arena.

ground passes are so awesome, because you can sit so close to the action.

if you ever want to get a rod laver pass, go for friday or saturday night and get in early, because then you are guaranteed a decent match. last year we went and it was like a wednesday afternoon and the games were disappointing, we actually left centre court to go onto the outside courts

Rod laver arena doesn't interest me in week one of a grand slam, 63 63 63 is a close game by week 1 standards!

I plan on seeing zero men's matches haha

I rather see the ladies matches with the sound down. Always good to see some good eye candy.

wasnt a bad effort by ash barty last night. thoroughly outclassed but didnt really expect much else. will definitely be a player of the future.

speaking of players of the future, who the hell is jordan thompson! i like to think i follow the sport relatively closely but i had never heard of him until he popped up after lleyton pulled out of kooyong and all of a sudden he is pushing top 20 players in the world. hopefully he puts in a full season this year, should see his ranking skyrocket after performances like that

It's actually quite nice when the sun goes behind a cloud, but apart from that the heat here today is really oppressive. Players are struggling at times.

LOL, couldn't lie straight in bed ... his performance in the post match presser was nearly worse than his pissweak effort on court.

Now the prick thinks he can go around saying he matched Rafa and it was just the injury which stopped him, instead of having his arse whipped over 3 sets which is what was going to happen.

you blokes are pretty harsh critics, it seemed to me like he was injured almost from the start, and you have to give him credit for even giving it a crack.

not the biggest tomic fan but he deserves better than what the australian public give him. he does need a deep run in a big tournament though

Tony abbott should send Tomic to nauru
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

LOL, straight from Wikipedia ...

Bernard Tomic (/tɔːmɪk/; Croatian: Bernard Tomić; born 21 October 1992) is an Australian unprofessional tennis player who as of August 2013 is ranked World No. 57 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP).

I hope Tomic is watching Kyrgios ... doesn't even call for the trainer and he's spent, but still out there.

Nick goes down in 5 after cramping ... Paire deserved the win and graciously accepted it.

I just listened to the post match interview with the young Thanasi Kokkinakis. Very grounded kid.. impressed. And watching Kyrgios go at it last night was super impressive too.

wanted to punch my TV.. stupid frenchies.

what was interesting about last night is that they were saying kyrgios is the highest ranked teenager in world tennis, at 183!

goes to show the impact that the power game has had on tennis in the last 20 years, i doubt we will ever see an 18 year old winning a grand slam, and definitely not another Boris Becker etc.
