Is the Faulkner selection to see who will start the home Ashes as the 'allrounder' (they will play one no matter what we think about it) out of him and Watson

Is there any possible chance that with the ball swinging around and particularly in to the lefties that our batsman might send the makers name straight back at the bowler ffs.

I think the selectors might go with Bailey. I'd him at five and Smith at six.

Not sure about Warner at the top, but happy with Bailey at 5? Warner FC average 44, Bailey 38. That's even with most of Warner's first class matches coming in tests. Take though out, he averages 56.

Can't possibly be because you think Warner's out of form either.

Yep Warner is a d**khead.

Warner is also mentally shot when it comes to how he should be batting at test level, he still hasn't discovered the balance and to be honest I don't think he knows what the balance is at test level.

Against England we need people who are mentally strong and willing to occupy time at the crease to succeed, ala Chris Rogers, blokes that know their game inside out.

Yep in good touch.

In saying that though this comp is terrible prep for an Ashes series.

Ordinary bowling attacks, best bowlers are in India.

Ovals smaller than Eastern Park on pitches that are now very flat.

The first two shield games will sort out Ashes selections.
