If he walks away what would Port need his contract paid out for, they wouldn't have to pay him?

If they have matched St.Kilda FC's offer than what a stupid decision from an admin point of view. If the bloke was that important to your set up why didn't you pay him that in the first place and once you chase people back from that scenario and throw cash it's not right now but eventually you will regret the actions .There would be more behind the scenes but you're better off letting the bloke go.....

Koch was never really blocking it, just getting St Kilda to now foot the bill associated with finding a replacement. Good move.

Apparently negotiations stalled until St Kilda agreed to chuck $200 on Wakelins metro card

So who will hold Abe Simpsons hand in the coaches box this year ???

I liked the bit where he complained about having to pay for another clubs incompetence. Luckily no one has ever paid for Port being incompetent.

disgrace. bit harsh of a ban...
so he accidently takes something and get 18 months, gee when/if they start handing out infraction notices to the bombers who willingly took banned drugs, there penalty MUST be more then Saads...

Think your missing the point.
No Essendon player has ever returned a positive test. If they do then they too will deservedly cop a 2 year ban. Id be surprised if anything more than 6-12 months will be dished out unless they have suddenly uncovered some new info
