As a lotus man I'm sad to see Kimi go. Hopefully we can get the Hulk to replace him.

After breaking down on the last lap Alonso stopped and picked up Webber to take him back to the pits.
Officials didnt take it too nicely and gave Webber a reprimand.
As it was his 3rd reprimand for the season he now cops a 10 spot grid penalty for next race

4th, was gaining on Kimmi, probay would of caught him on the last lap.
Got a message with about 5 laps to go that his gearbox was in strife and he had to shortshift.
Then with 2 laps to go he got another message saying to basically coast home, in the next lap and a half he was going about 4 seconds a lap slower and he dropped to about 7th before finally shitting itself with half a lap left

Webber drops 10 spots on the grid next race for something? Only heard half a news report on that one.

Hitched a ride back to the pits with Alonso. This was Mark's 3 minor indiscretion for the season so its 3 strikes and a grid penalty

Webber is acting very much like a bloke who couldn't give a toss I reckon. Wonder if his gearbox problems were engineered in. Strange how they occurred when he was on a serious climb through the field?

Wonder if his gearbox problems were engineered in

Interesting theory, except that if they engineered gearbox failure, (which i dont think they can, engine definetly) and it locked the rears and spat him at concrete and severely,or worse, injured him then i think not.

They were saying Webbers gearboc was on its last scheduled race. Was due for replacement next race anyway.
They cut it pretty fine with the engines and gearboxes, they are designed to do x ammount of hours and thats it.
I did hear earlier in the year they were talking to the Red Bull crew and after Vettel had won one of the earlier races in the season, they pulled up the data and it showed that his engine probably wouldnt of survived another 2 laps
