Anything to do with Mark Soderstrom's comments on radio last weekend about an SANFL club possibly heading to the courts with a former employee?

Doesn't sound too good.
Westies have an opportunity here to build on some solid foundations laid by Collins, it'd be horrible if the cash strapped club was to miss it because of some court battle.
Hope for their sake it's just minor.

Correct

I believe I referenced this scenario in a now deleted Post.

It's not defamation if it's true.

You would hope that it wouldn't be far away. Obviously be restricted in what can be said but i think members deserve to know what they are doing about it.

Sadly for SA Footy it is more than speculation but you have Kanta in the chair now and he is a proven performer.

I think people commenting on this issue should be very careful
There are a few very, very sensitive issues pertaining to this matter, and personally I think it would be a pretty good idea to leave it to those involved to resolve this problem.

When does the issue go to court? Surely once its in the courts we can discuss the claims being made or what is being said by the lawyers.

Surely the WAFC owes it to the members to give them some info into what is happening.

Sounds like a shambles at the moment!

You would hope for Westies sake it does not head to court, just to get it to court would cost them $100k min.

I've heard a cheque of about 140k cleared into westies account Wednesday or Thursday from an ex employee's Father and FIL.

Wonder what that means as to where it goes from here.

Plenty within the media that are all over it as well.

No wonder they were struggling to pay suppliers with outstanding accounts less than $10 000
