New England 55
Pittsburgh 31

If you'd said before the game that the Steelers would score 31 (in New England) I would've been rapt thinking we'd won.
I can't ever recall a Pittsburgh defense letting in 55.

Texans possibly gonna throw this game away....on the edge of my seat watching a squiggly line move along an animated field.

I don't think many people expected him to actually kick that last one. But there are certainly some poor kickers around. Not such a glamorous position that no kids take up kicking? The old experts used to rate kicking as being right up there with a good quarterback in terms of importance. If you don't have a great QB, have a great kicker.

That game does show the difference between a good team and a poor one. Houston played out of their skins in the first half. Had a receiver on track to smash the all time receiving record, a running game that was effective, a QB that was on fire and a defense that was totally dominant. Still, it wasn't enough. The colts didn't even have to revert to on side kicks and hail may passes. Just good, controlled play saw them sweeping down the field in a couple of minutes. I will reserve judgement a little though as the team seemed clearly affected by the coach being taken to hospital. The positivity seemed to be leached away but you have to be more professional.

how bad are the kickers in college?
That's why so many teams go for it on fourth down in a scoring position, more reliable.

and im pretty sure the green helmets are the ones with the headsets or whatever they are so they can hear the coachs

I don't watch much but I did see one game where that was the case. How long perhaps before they do away with kicking for points completely if it spreads to the NFL?

The Texans had 3 free agent kickers in this week for tryouts, but have said they will stick with Bullock "for now".

Kubiak is still unwell. They think he had a "mini stroke", so Wade Phillips is the caretaker coach. Throws up a bit of a challenge because Phillips is an amazing Defensive Co-ordinator, but lacks a bit on offensive play calling, which Kubiak did for the most part.

On todays game, Ive entered my tips, but still unsure on who will win this game. Both teams aren't showing much this year.

Ive got him in my SAFooty team. I just picked up Case Keenum too. He puts up really good numbers, but gets let down by the rest of the team.

I changed my tip from the 'Skins to the Vikings this morning.........dont ask me why coz I have no ******* idea.

Seems like it's gonna be a high scoring game with both defences fairly ordinary.

Or perhaps they could go the other way and introduce some more important to it.
For example, any kick at goal, the option of kicking from an angle for 2 points (know they have the other two-point option after TD) or 4 points on a FG

Washington have 4 shots at a TD inside the 10 yard line to tie the game and fall 4 yards short. Gave the ball back to the Vikings on downs. Game over. Vikes win, HH3 changing his tip pays off.

I watched the Was Vs Min game after work on Friday night with my missus's uncle, who is a very smart, worldly man of about 70 years, but had never watched a game in his life.

Only then did I realise how hard it was to explain the game to someone who has zero knowledge of it. I think he was bored shitless, but we were the only males in a house where there was some womens party (similar to Tupperware, but clothes) going on, so he had no alternative.

He thanked me for the company though, coz he thought he'd be stuck in his bedroom by himself reading his book. Instead he was asking questions that related to everything from the rules? why so many people are on the sidelines? why the QBs have radios in their helmets? why they wear so much padding? why's he doing that? would you like a cupcake?

Not a bad evening....we're seeing each other again on Friday ;)
