Agree.

WTF is going on with umpires and LBWs atm ? Just turn on ODI NZ v W.I. Nathan McCullem bowling right arm around the wicket to the left handed Powell. Angling a mile down leg side with no spin, Powell goes to sweep, hit on pad at best in line with leg and up goes the umpires finger. looked to be missing leg by 6 -8 inches and replay confirms it. WTF are umpires thinking these days ? SERIOUSLY ? NFI at all. Happy for umpires to make mistakes when they err on the side of caution but no excuse when they make horrendous blunders

Clint McKay an early ommission from the Stars - this will clearly work in their favour and not the Strikers.

BH 5/159[20]
Turning point of this game was Sandhu running out Peter Fores zzzzzzzzzzzzzt 10[17]
Then
Lynn 56[35]
Cutting 19[12]
Had enough batting time to smash em
Sandhu was better off missing the run out

The game is for people with a short attention span. Unfortunately, something else will come along, once 20/20 has lost it's sparkle.

The missus was changing channels, and I happened to catch some no name personality was a Thunder ambassador, yet this was the first game they had been to. Gold.

Sleepy
I've been reading the dooms dayers on safooty denounce 20/20 and predicting it will lose its appeal
But the fact is the comp is going strong in season 3
There's a new generation of cricket watchers rolling up in droves to watch it
To them its a 'few' hour package
That time span in line with Aussie Rules, and Soccer
They get a result
They have a team to follow'
There's a premiership ladder
Finals
Grand Final

They want results, and excitement and they get it in 3 hours
Yep , spot on, it suits people with short attention spans , but cant argue with the crowds [so far]
Compare a BBL Grand Final to some of the slow paced at times boring SS grand Finals we have seen often enough over the years

Personally
I treat these games as entertainment
Its a change from watching movies and other programmes on TV
Something to watch , its called cricket, it ain't cricket in Sleepy and Mal's eyes , but it is to others, many many others

Your allowed to be bored or unsatisfied with BBL
There are others like Booney, REB, Jackpot Jim who support you in thought
I just don't think those other guys need to remind us about it all the time about how bad the BBL is
Perhaps they should start their own thread , and let the rest of us enjoy it

I've seen about 25 minutes of 20/20 in the Indian League
No interest in that
BBL played at the right time slot to watch it here though

I didn't see 1 ball of the 50 over Domestic games this season
They played those games in NSW and I reckon all played early mornings ?
Good way to make peoples lose interest in 50 over games and make em watch 20/20 cricket
Months later I'm still trying to work out why they were played at what I consider a dumb time slot

How bad were the Thunder last night. If they didnt have Hussey they would be lucky to score 50 each game. Who have they spent their salary cap on, the drinks boy? Terrible squad and the youngsters cannot bat in this form of the game. Like Carters as a Shield batsman but doesnt swing the bat in T20. Just continues to nudge the ball around and Patterson

I think Patterson is only in the side so he can be wired up and talk to Fleming

Strikers dropped ferguson for Putland. I thought we had a light batting order. Now we have another bowler
