You would think that B1 down will get called off now. Hard to see it dropping down 3 degrees in the mornings forecast.

Reckon they had already cancelled at this time last week but it was a lot warmer. Hoping it can dip below 40 somehow.

if called off is it to the front bar tomorrow bloods08?

Of course.

Announcement to be made at 7:30 tomorrow morning.

Surely Mr Heyzer can get up at 5.20am, check the forecast and make the announcement earlier than 7.30am

Would you like to be woken up by your phone @ 5:30?
I think 7:30 is fine and gives sufficient time for plan changes.

Because 10-15 years ago i was 10-15 years younger. I was talking from a personal point of view. Getting older you get slower and less able to handle things you once were.

This is the first real test of the 9 round season. Last year no games were lost to weather so nothing was really thought of it. Suddenly we miss a game or two due to weather and we are down to an 8 or 7 round season. Is this a good thing? If we get a bad year we could see a 5 or 6 round season. Hardly makes for a fair competition let alone value for the commitment blokes put into the game.

Our coaches theory is to play two separate comps in the same season, 7 one day games and 7 two day games effectively playing for two trophies in the one season. positives of this is we get more cricket which everybody would like and 20/20 stuff punted back to mid week

To have 7 one day and 7 two dayers you only need 8 team comps. 21 week season plus finals. PDCA have done this for longer than I can remember but only as one competition. If you have two comps you would need 21 weeks for the minor round and 4 weeks for finals (2 weeks for each). Also what happens is there is a heated out or washed out week when you are playing the 2 dayers - suddenly you have a one day game in the two day comp. Would ATCA want another rehack of their gradings so soon after the last one? But food for thought. Quite agree with the others - keep 20/20 to mid week. Who only wants to play for a few hours on a Saturday - waste of a day - if committing to cricket you play it for the whole day, 80 overs?

2 weeks cancelled from extreme heat, if forecasts are correct, huge chance to be washed out this weekend.

Please Note the cancellation of all ATCA Senior and Junior fixtures for Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th February due to the weather conditions which have hampered any pitch preparation.

Hope Valley Defeated Rose & Crown to win the Metro SAMCA Cup final. Rose & crown posted 81 but we got slugged 6 runs for slow over rate, Hope valley easily accounting for the runs with no lose of wicket. We couldn't get the job done against freeling going down by 2 runs chasing.
