What is the cost per member for Essential membership??

Without me having to ring PAFC, does anybody know if you can upgrade at anytime??

Essential Power is $370 each, or $290 for concession.

It includes:

DESCRIPTION
Essential Power provides access into the Western Stand with non-reserved seating in the Adelaide Oval Football Members reserve. Great for those members who don’t need the security of a reserved seat and want to enjoy the game from the western side and from a different seating location each week.
(Equivalent to the SANFL Members Reserve area at AAMI Stadium previously)

GAME ACCESS:
11 Power home games
Victorian AFL Member Reserve access

BENEFITS:
Grand Final ticket guarantee
2014 Adelaide Oval commemorative coin*
Team Selection SMS
2014 Member Pack
10% discount at Megastore – instore, game day and online
10% discount at Port Club and Prince of Wales Hotel
Member exclusive emails and CEO updates
Invitations and special member offers to Club events
Club Publications
Member Voting Rights
Access to Easy Pay option

As for the other question, I'm not sure... you'd have to ask the club.

Does anyone know how the Victorian AFL Members Reserve Access part of the membership works?

I asked that question when I went to the club yesterday, and my understanding of it (I don't know if I'm right or not) is that it entitles us to sit within the AFL Members Reserve at the MCG (and possibly Etihad?), if we purchase match tickets...

I hope I'm right about that, as I plan to schedule a couple of road trips to Melbourne next season.

I'm pretty sure that's the case.

Imagine if we made the granny next season, a guaranteed ticket! High hopes I know, but still...

Really?

Oh well, hopefully we get more than one game at the MCG then.

Is anybody else thinking this Polec deal wont go through?

I've said all along he is West Lakes bound simply with Port unwilling to part with our first pick and Brisbane unwilling to accept our 2nd. It appears to me as though our options to find a third party are running thin??

I'm on the same page, and I sure as hell wouldn't give a first round pick for an unproven kid who can't stay on the park.

We should've concentrated on getting a ready-made key forward. I hope I'm wrong, but I think "The Future" is almost out of chances.

I stand corrected fellas- Port have secured Polec this evening, whilst maintaining picks 21, 34, 45 and 52 in this years draft.

Boon and I have chatted about the possibility of Port being active in this years trade period for players at the expense of picks and we have done that- but the fact we havent actively sought a KPF concerns me.

In saying that we have got 2 genuine outside ball winners and some exquisite users by foot (Harlett, Wingard, Polec) delivering to our forwards- Really have to hope that Butcher and Shaw progress now.

Pretty happy with our off season efforts thus far.

Would the missus want to be the designated driver on game day?

My wife and I have the Essential Power memberships, and we're off to watch the Round 19 game against Collingwood, and possibly Round 7 against GWS in Canberra. My wife is keen on the latter, as The Lion King is playing in Sydney at the time. Maybe I'll slip her a couple of tickets to that in her Christmas stocking...

It should do, at least I'd hope so.

Failing that, you could always catch the train from Mawson Lakes or Dry Creek (maybe even Salisbury), if you live off Bolivar Road.

Kane Cornes continued his 10 year stranglehold on the 3km time trial for our first run of the pre-season. Cornes edged out Mitchell and youngsters Sam Colquhoun and Tommy Clurey.

Absolutely fantastic to see the likes of Cornes, Ebert, Logan back in the thick of it, given it was a session aimed for ports 1st to 4th year players, and Cornes gave a pretty honest pep talk to the group about getting back to the top as quickly as possible and how he himself had prepped for the first session back- emphasising that every minute counts given we lost 3-4 weeks courtesy of our finals campaign.

Polec finished middle of the pack in the 3 km run (but was reportedly quite ill last week)- Hinkley straight to him reminding him about earning respect and quick improvement which is great to see.

A few positive signs heading into draft day on thursday.

Port have drafted Sam Russell (Geelong Falcons- pick 13), Sam Gray (Port Magpies- Pick 29) and Daniel Flynn (Pick 50- Irish recruit) as well as retaining Brent Renouf with pick 44.

Great to see Matt Thomas get a 2nd crack with Richmond.

Sam Russell is an interesting one, he was highly rated by all reports but has slipped through to the rookie draft. Time will tell.
