Yes and no, take into account the loss of our two key defenders for 3 and 6 weeks respectively and finishing 5th in the minor round is acceptable.

Sorry boon was referring to Richmond not port! I didn't make that clear.

I think port have finished about where they should have, if that makes sense. They are pretty clearly the 5th best team going around imo

No way.

$ydney - The most pressure on them, they've already paid for this flag, they better get it.

Agree with this, it's the Swans flag to lose.

I agree - this is all crap about who's flag it is to lose. Any of the top 4 teams have good cases for a premiership - even Port and North could give it a shake at their best. At the end of September, whoever wins will have definitely earned it - the rest will be ruing a missed opportunity. Go Swannies :D

Nearly right there, if any of the other 7 teams win it they have earnt it, Sydney will have bought it.
As was said earlier its their's to lose. They didnt recruit Tippet and Franklin to finish 2nd

That quite possible is the most ridiculous commetnt I've read on here...
This buying a premiership is ridiculous too! How can you buy one??? When worked within there limits. Did we buy a flag 2 years ago when we beat your lot? Had the same salary cap then!

And I reckon most clubs recruit players cause they want to win flags..

West Coast ended up trading Chris Judd (one of the best players ever) to get a full forward in Josh Kennedy. What has Sydney given up other then large sums of cash to get a forward line?
Sydney's GF to lose, Freo is running out of time also.

How can you be confident when u are trying to compete against a team that has many unfair advantages against the rest of the comp.
Make no mistake this will be Hawthorn's greatest ever premiership
