Well Zorzi has announced his retirement and Warren said he will if Bassett goes.
The AFL guys are certainties obviously.
The 3 kids will get drafted, Aish at 3, Dumont at 12-15.
Think a couple of others I mentioned as draftees will get drafted, perhaps not all.
Gut feeling about Newton and McGuinness

That is a fair lot that could be missing next year, you can also include the coach.

Any idea who Bassett's replacement might be, would Robbie Neil be in with a chance?

Plenty of decent kids coming through and a couple of delisted players to come back

Any chance Macca coming in to coach?

Big chance

I thought he'd already signed with PNU again for next year.

Was anyone else disappointed with the lack of pre-game and 1/2 time entertainment today for spectators. Given it was the final GF at Footy Park I thought it was cheap by the SANFL. At least they tried something different last year with the Rolling Stones coverband. Admission price must have been straight profit today! (I know there were 1000s of freebies but there were 1000s of paying spectators too).

Thought it was a pretty good contest for 3 quarters. North sneaking 2 goals just before half time and then coming hard in the 3rd. Only needed another couple in the 3rd and Norwood were in trouble. But, opportunities weren't taken.

Norwood a dominant outfit two years running, despite a high turnover of players. It might be negative football, but Bassett has a winning formula at this level and has delivered. His players embrace the game plan and they have the right mix of inside grunt and outside skill and youth and experience.

Well done Norwood. Too good, two years running!

Disagree ... it was all about the history of Footy Park, not some singer or performer that no-one ever gives a rats about.

Was a great atmosphere after the game on the ground.

Pity the game was a non event in the last quarter after promising so much in the 3rd.

Norwood too good on the day but will be happy if their new coach changes the game plan.

Cock A Doodle Doo!!!!!!!!!

I suffered through the first two quarters of last year's game before turning off in boredom.

This year I made it through the whole thing; the game was at least watchable for the entirety, and North's comeback in the third made the game interesting and entertaining. Shame that the last quarter was a Norwood procession, but the game still shat all over the embarrassment to the sport which West partook in last year.

The Crowd was good.
The Football was shite.
If this is the way football is heading than it is stuffed.
As an Essendon supporter, Please go to another club Bassett.

Congratulations to Norwood but I'm sorry to say that a combined 14 goals on a fine sunny day for a GF is disgraceful. You can still play good defensive footy and score. This match was disappointing for the last GF at AAMI.

The last decent GF was 2011 and 2010 before that - the last two have been boring and non-events.

The SANFL needs to gain relevance and perhaps the addition of the Crows and Power will do it. If we have another snore fest like the last two, this comp will become irrelevant.

You are kidding surely?
As an Essendon member I want him signed up immediately.
All these negatives on Bassett's style is un-warranted most of the time. Yes he is defensively orientated but teams play into our hands by not playing man on man. Today was another perfect example, everytime we have played North they have attacked us over the last few years, all week ive heard how North will attack and make a game of it then they get to gameday and play their best player loose in defence kicking with the breeze, it then gave us a +1 at the back which is what we want. Lost count of the times in the first half that North went to clear the ball from defence and had no one to kick it to and all players were in Norwood's half of the ground

Pseudo,
The game was crap, not as crap as last year agreed, but when 36 players are at one end of the ground, it is a joke.
The premiers kick 10 goals and North who are supposed to be the slickest team in the comp kick 4 and 1 point in the last qtr, there is something wrong.....
Floods, Zones, Plus One, Sling Shot footy.....
Our game is stuffed!!!!!!!

Yep will go down in the record books for ever!!!

Don't get me wrong Norwood have been brilliant the last two years and more than deserved premiers but lots not kids our selves apart from Norwood fans the last two GF's will be forgotten GF's with this year being the last GF at footy park only giving it relevance.

Much like the 2000 AFL GF and this years AFL GF in years to come

Thankyou to this forum and to 5rph and life fm for keeping me informed of true SA footy over the last few years. I got to read about last weeks prelim thanks to Locky and a few others whilst in the jungles of Borneo on holiday, and to this weeks game through this forum and the afore mentioned radio stations, and whilst we lost, am thankful for the passion that fellow footy supporters have shown throughout this season. I truly hope that sa footy doesn't decline, as some have suggested, but if it does, I am thankful to have witnessed some of the greatest eras that this state has produced. Thanks again for a great forum that keeps me informed of the issues that affect the local SANFL, and I hope that our standard, passion and interest continues, so that we may continue to enjoy that which the AFL wishes to destroy in the name of progress. Thankyou everyone.

Last quarter it was time just to take the piss and run down the clock.
He had already kicked 2 goals for the quarter, the game was done and dusted so for the last 10 minutes Norwood just chipped it around inside our back half
