2013 SANFL GRAND FINAL Norwood v Nth Adelaide

I am glad its a nwd nth gf there will plenty of interest & a good crowd too 30-35k on a good day. I think norwood would look forward to this more with the unexpected nth adelaide requiring us to focus better in their strengths. I was worried that playing west we could get complacent.

This has been refuted by other opinions

I don't think Adelaide United played today but it would take much more than cheating to make AU competitive with mighty teams like the Central Cost Mariners.

Last Adelaide Oval GF involved North, last Footy Park GF will involve North. Hopefully a different result this time around but another game equally as good.

Looking forward to next week, very confident about our chances. Didnt see too much from North today that worried me albeit West drag teams back to their level.
If North play like they have in the first half of their last 2 games it will be over at the break but if they play like their second half we are in for a cracker. Cant see Bass letting Chad run around un-marked all day, he will cut us to bits if given time and space. If we play at our best I reckon the margin will be about 7-8 goals, unfortunately Grand Finals dont usually pan out as expected

He said it was tough for Bert having a German surname after WWI, and Bert would cop abuse

This 1923 Grand Final I believe is the only time Norwood has beaten North Adelaide in a Grand Final
Norwood won back to back flags after defeating WA in 1922 [NW 9-7, WA 2-16]
1923 is the last time Norwood have won back to back flags

Just 4 the record , I did not attend both games

Up until the 1995 First Semi Final we had a pretty impressive record of wins in finals against Norwood. Went back to sometime in the 30's from memory.
