Without looking who can guess who got the 3 votes from this game?

Are you suggesting that Woolford got three votes?

Close, but no cigar

Nathan tape. I had a little chuckle when I saw it on the board.

would love to have been a fly on the wall in the Umpires changerooms when they made that decision

How a player can get 3 votes when their team has lost by that sort of margin is beyond me. Umpires votes are a joke.

In our B grade we had a young fella finish second in the count, got 15 votes from 7 games. He's a permanent forward pocket who sits at the feet of our Full forward and has averaged about a goal a game. He plays his role really well for our team but isn't a dominate footballer, can't really understand how he managed to poll so many votes to be honest.

I managed to poll a vote when we played Brahma Lodge, we won by 20 plus goals and as a defender I did f**k all that game because the ball hardly entered their forward line. The fact that I received a vote is a joke.

This is why umpires shouldn't do the voting

Come up with a better system. You're right - umpires have too much to worry about to get it absolutely right.

Congrats to Unley and Modbury on the promotion.
Will be a cracker game. Any reports on the game?
Pembroke have even playing some good footy and judging by the result they didn't come to play

I saw the 2nd half and Pembroke were a long while off their best. Attack on the footy was awful.
Modbury are a very consistent side.

Bring on next week!!

Were there a few dramas with Modbury's ground on the weekend?

SAAFL supposedly declared it unfit the week before... but it was right to go this week... is that correct?

Surely not true that Modbury had a team of people with brooms sweeping sand back into the irrigation channels during the quarter breaks?

And a player supposedly did an ACL in one of these channels?

Not unlike SW, Modbury play a mean game come finals time and will make their opposition earn every possession. The Jets two wins over the Hawks were at Kingswood with Modbury winning the other encounter at home. The Jets boast a talented line-up particularly Wark, whom they rely on each week and would be a key to winning. Playing at Thebarton will "even" up the sides IMO and if Modbury can negate Wark's influence I believe they will be more than willing to do "whatever" it takes and won't be happy unless they march back into Div 2 with the flag instead of a "Claytons" promotion.
