True, but I still prefer the old one.

Yes, the best players get a small reward if they are in attendance on the Saturday evening. Small amount of money, drink cards, meat vouchers, meal vouchers etc.

Bar takings go to the sports club, of which the football club is a subsidiary. The football clubs portion of that money goes to the SAAFL calls, strapping, balls, other training gear, coaches pay, trainers pay, utility bills etc.

We also do fund raising, canteen money, sponsorship etc for more football related expenses. Some benefactors and sponsors pay for a few player subs.

I think all up out total football revenue is about $50k/annum. Of which $0 goes to the players in the form of match day payments. Our total expenditure is about $49.9k. We usually try and get a small surplus at the end of the year to remain viable.

You are either overpaying your trainers etc or buying your strapping from Amcal pharmacy. 50k is huge considering you don't pay players!

Drove past Rosies last night and seen a fair few lads running around.

Is that the start of official Pre-Season or just a few guys having a run?

When are most other clubs having a run? many before christmas?

Start of pre-season but's it more about getting to know the new coaching team than anything else.
Oh, and there were 80 blokes there, all are as fit as they have ever been and all the new recruits are 6' 4", run like the wind, are superstars and are playing for love just so they can play with their mates

I have heard a change to any other business names or website domains might be just a tad difficult. Indeed impossible unless many discussions took place . Even for the new C9 naming rights. Might be wrong but from what I hear I don't think so

Is it? Whats CLGs? Perhaps dont include hair product subsidies.

I might have my figures wrong amd will check when I get back. Doest take long to start adding up though. Couple of k for coaches. Couple of k for trainers, couple of k for footballs, couple of k for training gear, couple of k for strapping - i do think this is where we get stiched. Few hunge for guernseys etc. We're already up to about 15k before the calls!

It's a shame the wheels have fallen off at MP they had potential to be a good team during 2013, has it got to the point where it could be a repeat of TTG 2013??

No, nothing like it. We'll still be competitive and have 2 teams. Some will go and some will come, like most clubs, but the confidence is growing daily.

I don't think we will be as bad as TTG were, even worst case. We still have a solid core of quality footballers. Ben Weekley, Matt Davidson, Nat Mac, Jeremy David, Colquhorn, Rayson etc etc will still be around.

The wheels havent fallen offf, but we have got a couple of flats and some road side repairs are required.

I'm hoping Yanky has some good news for when I get back from Bali and he has weaved some magic with Scooter to retain a few more plus maybe add a couple.
