Happy Easter to everyone. Hope you all had a good break. Thankfully the break is over and we can start having regular games every Saturday from now on. I used to hate having byes or the Easter break.

Maybe those play for pay players weren't sold on what the Club had to offer and weren't encouraged enough to stay per your previous post...or maybe its just democracy in action (like it or not)....... ;)

I would think Club Committee's would have an expectation for new coaches to have the ability to recruit notwithstanding how and from where..... There job is after all is to win flags...is it not.... :)

Their job is definitely to win flags, but to also nurture the young players, bridge the gap between players and be more than just someone who blows in for a flag and goes..

i honestly think some coaches go to where they think the best chance to win a flag is out.. not too many keen on a challenge these days and want to knuckle down and create something from nothing.

Intresting couple of posts there Phantom, quite a good read.
I espically like this one, could you please let me know if this is why you left Kilburn? Too much hard work?

At the end of the day, a senior coach is measured by his ability to win premierships.

Don't worry I have had some absolute shockers myself.

Great post? You are joking again WW yes? PG your tirade against MP is forgiven my friend. Just be grateful IF get a chance to get revenge for previous misdemeanours on our behalf. Fact is the rivalry goes back to 2001 at the minimum and should be that, rivalry. Maybe it should be built on and not spat on, just sayin.

Although only Round 3, very important round of games coming up.

If the top 4 continue their winning ways will open up a decent gap from the bottom 4, I know it's a long season, but it's a long way back.

On the flip side, should the sides who have struggled so far find the form we all know they are capable of, the ladder suddenly becomes a real log jam.

Where does that leave 5th and 6th? or are they irrelevant? ;)

Within touch.. if Lockleys and Mawson Lakes win, then that tightens up the ladder, but if they were to both lose, it gives couple game break from the top plus also brings them back on terms with a couple of the sides below.. I dont know, so many possibilities!

All I know is "morell's time of the season" where it's all of a sudden too cold and miserable for training has approached far quicker this year.

Ah yes that time of the season when players fall into a black hole during the week and training attendance drops by 70%

Such a good club man morell, clubs in need for everyone to train etc yet your too lazy and happy to slag off other clubs on here, maybe the problem at Mitchell park isn't what has left, but what is still around?
