I'm not whinging, I'm merely stating what I wish the draw was like. I'll wait for the full draw to be released tomorrow and then I'll whine. lol

The latest whisper I'm hearing come through is the season will kick off with a game on Fri 14th Mar at between Collingwood and Fremantle at Etihad Stadium. Anyone else heard this?

It's also expected that West Coast will host the Western Bulldogs, that would leave St Kilda to take on Melbourne at Etihad.

Not quite. While the Crows might be a souless corporate entity, at least Port are a real club and the rivalry with the Cows is also real. Nothing about Football in NSW is real, it's all fake. That's why the Football World are quick to try on such myths as the 'no dickheads' policy and the 'bloods culture' or people in Melbourne would be just as disinterested as your average Sydneysider as soon as the Swans lose a couple of games on the trot.

GWS have no fans and Swans fans only get excited about the Giants because it gives them yet another leg up. Even Sydney couldn't give a stuff about the fabricated derby.

I hope they don't start another season with a split round or a stand-alone game.

Just start with a full round of fixtures on the first weekend and stop messing about!

Yep, it should 9 games on the first weekend.

I can't understand the logic in having a split round and drip feeding footy to us at the start of the season. Surely it's much more exciting for everyone when all fans get into the opening round at the same time.

MCG isn't available, Adelaide Oval isn't available, and I read that one other ground wasn't available.

Most of us by now have had a chance to look over the 2014 fixture. So I thought this was an opportune time to continue discussion. What do you like about your teams draw, what don't you like?

From a Crows perspective I think it's a good draw, we don't play any of the 2013 top 4 twice. Further more we only play 1 of the top 6 twice, that being the Power. From a marketing point of view I'm disappointed that we miss out on playing Carlton and Essendon in Adelaide.
