Not a fan of selecting players that can obtain a passport, don't wanna turn into England/everywhere.

Develop our own. Sorry Fawah but your not an Aussie, yes you live here now but mate your a paki.

Don't care about a players background just believe to play for a country you should be born there and learnt your craft there.

I find this view highly amusing.
Do you not walk into a small country town every saturday for 6 months of the year and recieve payment for playing football in a town that you wern't born or developed in? Do you tell them they should develop their own? At least Ahmed lives here
You're a Willaston man not a Wallaroo man.
Its also not a fear for your's or your families safety that finds you in Wallaroo, purely $$.
Ahmed is an Aussie now and should be treated as such. He should also be made to wear the nations sponsors logo on his shirt but thats another issue

I don't agree about his paperwork being rushed through because his an 'elite sportsmen'

But the bloke is now an Aussie, no different to Andrew Symonds, no different to any other australian cricketer with an English heritage.

His paperwork was fast tracked because he is a skilled migrant. His skills just happen to be in the sporting arena. Got no issue with that.

Haha playing local football is a little different to playing for your nation, the only criteria to be met when playing country footy is the points system.

I've got no issue with him being an Australian now as I've said I just don't think he should be considered for selection, but he is and will more then likely play so good luck to him.

This is an interesting one too. Not really sure where I stand on this. Quite obviously as a Muslim he would feel uncomfortable promoting an alcohol brand on his shirt. But I also think sponsors have a right to get the exposure they paid for.

I think you could probably change his shirt to put some other sponsor on it, I think that is the best solution but it's definitely an interesting point.

Mitch Johnson on his way home from India so he can prepare for the Ashes. You'd say he will be in the first Test team

Probably between him and bird for the spot behind sidds and harris.

Really hope they stick with Lyon for the first couple of tests at least

I'd prefer Bird over Johnson, he's tried and failed in many ashes campaigns now, doesn't build enough pressure, bowls far too many loose balls.

I think you can have 1 bowler like that in the team, and with Harris and siddle who are both workhorse types, someone like Johnson can go for 4 an over because he only has to bowl 15 overs per day. Problem comes when you have pattinson or starc there too because both of them are similar to Johnson so you can't play two or more of them. I prefer Johnson as backup to pattinson and starc, and bird as backup to either Harris or siddle

Johnson is a certainty for the first test team now.

Harris Siddle Johnson Lyon the four bowlers with Watson and Smith providing support.

Rogers Watson Warner Bailey Clarke Smith Haddin (not in that order) (They will play Warner on the back of Ryobi form).

Voges / Burns / Hughes / Klinger the back ups.

I'd be shocked if the side didn't look like that.

Maybe play the wrist spinner at the GABBA, Warne had a lot of success there
